KUNGSBACKA FRONTSKUNGSBACKA fronts are the result of making a truly sustainable kitchen front that helps save the earth’s resources. Here, waste is used to make a front of recycled wood wrapped in plastic film produced from recycled PET bottles. The innovation means virgin oil-based plastic is avoided, without compromising on quality, design or price. The product developer Anna Granath explains the new thinking behind the kitchen fronts.
“Our products are bought by a lot of people, and by offering more sustainable alternatives, we actually have the opportunity to contribute to a change, so we startedlooking at how we could replace new materials with recycled materials in our kitchen range.”
The matte anthracite-coloured fronts not only look beautiful, but are also easy to clean. And it’s good to know that the short life of a plastic bottle, that maybe only takes 25 minutes to drink up, may just get a new lifetime of at least 25 years in KUNGSBACKA fronts.
