PG&E Hunters Point Site Project Advisory Committee Update November 22, 2013 This is the latest update from PG&E’s Hunters Point Site Team to the Project Advisory Committee (PAC) and members of the Bayview-Hunters Point community. This update provides an overview of current and upcoming PG&E activities on and around the site. PAC Email Distribution We appreciate the community’s cooperation and patience during this year’s environmental remediation and site restoration activities. Since work at the site has come to a close for 2013 and will not be providing additional weekly updates. Instead will provide updates in advance of significant work at the site. PG&E will still be available to provide information or answer questions through our hotline and project email (see “For More Information” section below). PG&E Utility Work Beginning next week (the week of November 25), a PG&E crew will begin working along the Area A fence line adjacent to Middle Point Road. The work will involve reinforcing the soil along the hillside to help with erosion control. Dust control will be provided while soil disturbing work is in progress. This work is not associated with the PG&E Hunters Point site cleanup. Work will take place Monday-Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. It is estimated the work will take 2-3 weeks to complete, depending on weather conditions. Coming Soon: Hunters Point Listening and Gathering Space The community has been a strong partner in shaping the cleanup of the Hunters Point site through the years. The PG&E team working on the streetscape, shoreline and interim uses at the Hunters Point site are committed to continuing this partnership. We are conducting outreach to PAC members and other community stakeholders to gather their ideas on the needs of the community and vision for the neighborhood. As part of this effort, PG&E is working with the design firms envelope A+D, Royston Hanamoto Alley & Abey (RHAA), and Liz Ogbu architect and outreach specialist. Over the next few weeks, you will see a new installation taking shape on a portion of Area B (adjacent to Herons’s Head Park). This installation is a test project for interim site uses. This initial installation will contain a listening booth, word garden, and gathering space. All of which will be on site through June 2014. To kick-off this venture, we are partnering with StoryCorps for a series of events in early December. StoryCorps (http://storycorps.org/ ) is a nationwide nonprofit whose mission is to provide people of all backgrounds and beliefs the opportunity to share, record, and preserve the stories of their lives for future generations. Since 2003, StoryCorps has collected and archived more than 45,000 interviews. This is the latest update from PG&E’s Hunters Point Site Team to the Project Advisory Committee (PAC) and members of the Bayview-Hunters Point community.

PG&E Utility Work Beginning next week (the week of November 25), a PG&E crew will begin working along the Area A fence line adjacent to Middle Point Road.
