RENEWABLES DHW HEAT PUMPS

Energy you can recycle

› Intelligent technology which utilises free energy from waste heat or the outdoor air to generate hot water for the entire household

STIEBEL ELTRON is full of energy

As a family company driven by innovation, throughout product development

and manufacture we maintain a clear focus on environmentally responsible,

efficient and convenient building services for your home. Because we're

full of energy and ready to shape the future!

Since 1924 we have been developing highly efficient products and maintain a clear focus on electricity as our primary energy source. Electricity which nowadays is increasingly obtained from renewables.

We rely on over 3100 employees around the world and their expertise at every stage of development – from the initial design right through to the manufacture of the final product. The result – efficient and innovative solutions for domestic hot water, heat, ventilation and cooling. With our extensive product range, we always have the right option to prepare your home for the demands of the future – today.

At our head office in Holzminden, Germany, we have also established a clear focus on green technology – with the Energy Campus, our flagship project for sustainable construction which makes careful use of resources. This training and communication centre brings together high quality architecture and communication technology. And as a Plus Energy building, it generates more energy than it consumes. This is in keeping with our brand promise "Full of energy" and creates a space where the spirit of STIEBEL ELTRON can be experienced both in theory and practice.

The future belongs to

environmentally responsible and

efficient building services.

Electricity – the energy source of the future

Renewable energies will become the norm for the future of energy supply as

more and more people recognise the benefits of green and self-generated

power from renewable sources.

The goal of the energy transition is independence from fossil fuelsFossil fuels are in decline on the electricity market – too harmful to the climate and ever more scarce. Nowadays, alternative energies using the sun, wind and water are being used to generate green power.

So it is only logical to act in good time to convert the largest energy consumer in your home – the heating system – to these futureproof forms of energy. As nearly 80 % of energy consumed in the home is used for heating and hot water, this makes perfect sense. So there is plenty of scope for implementing the energy transition in your own home.

“ If you don’t need something, it’s a good idea to

exchange it for something else rather than just

throw it away. If you’re smart about it, you can even

exchange heat, such as surplus heat in the boiler

room, to heat cold water. Giving you virtually free

hot water.”

High grade DHW heat pumps from STIEBEL ELTRON utilise free environmental

energy for DHW heating and thereby provide an efficient, environmentally

responsible solution for year-round generation of hot water using renewable

energy.

Where DHW heating from renewable sources is concerned, DHW heat pumps offer a quick and convenient solution. Basements in particular are often heated passively and unintentionally, whether by a boiler or by electrical appliances that give off a lot of heat. Rather than allowing it to go to waste, DHW heat pumps reclaim this energy.

Up to 70 % of the energy required for DHW heating can be taken from recirculation air. An entire detached or two-family house can be supplied with domestic hot water by feeding the yielded heat into the integral cylinder.

EXCELLENT ENERGY EFFICIENCYOur DHW heat pumps achieve the highest possible energy efficiency class: A+.

* Once at 40 °C 1) Suitable inverter required 2) Sunny Home Manager – for appliances manufactured in or after 05/2016 Energy efficiency class in accordance with EU Regulation no. 812/2013.

The WWK 221/301 electronic series combines all the benefits of the WWK 200/300 electronic series, but also features an air duct for the intake of outdoor air or waste heat from an adjacent room.

Ready for whatever space is availableThe air intake and discharge ducts can be mounted horizontally and/or vertically (the accessories for vertical mounting are available as an option). This allows maximum flexibility when it comes to installation and layout in the installation room.

HIGHLY FLEXIBLE

Futureproof investment The equipment includes a maintenance-free impressed current anode, making regular anode tests unnecessary and saving on costs. An integral contact input is also included as standard to allow for combination with a photovoltaic system*, for example, to increase on-site consumption.

Benefits for your home

Information at the push of a buttonThe high level of operating convenience offered by the control unit with LCD provides the finishing touch. Information such as the currently available amount of mixed water at +40 °C can be called up instantly.

Our WWK heat pumps offer a quick and convenient solution for DHW heating from renewable sources – independent of the central heating system. They are available in two cylinder sizes and come in an attractive design. The heat pumps, with optimally insulated cylinder, achieve excellent output values.

Futureproof investment The built-in contact input, included as standard, enables the integration of external signal transmitters, for example a photovoltaic system to utilise solar power generated on site* or, where possible, a low tariff signal to use electricity for heating at a discounted rate.
