The Portable Fuel Dispensing System (PFDS) was designed to support aircraft refueling in remote, austere operating environments. The PFDS is a self-contained system that includes 20,000 liters of fuel storage, transferring, filtration, additive injection and secondary containment in two collapsible tactical containers.

ComponentsThe basic components include:

• Four Double-Walled climate-specific tanks;

• A pump skid;

• A power supply;

• A filter / separator;

• An additive skid

• A meter skid;

• Two closed circuit nozzles;

• Three over-wing nozzles;

• One under-wing nozzle; and

• All required dry-break fittings and hoses.

The complete PFDS fits inside mini-shipping containers. Each component can be set up by a maximum of two personnel. Estimated time for set-up is approximately 50 minutes.

Features• Diesel powered pump system capable of delivering fuel to three dispensing points at 52 USGPM (200 LPM);

• Designed to operate in multiple climates with a temperature range of 53°C (127°F) to -46°C (-50°F) STANAG 2895;

• Central power and control module with emergency stop;

• Two-stage aviation fuel filtration, (EI 1581, Fifth Edition, Category M+100) with water detection and sump heater, differential pressure gauge, limit switch linked to dead-man control, and sampling port;

• A positive displacement mechanical fuel metering skid with air eliminator and manifold to maintain fuel dispensing records;

• An optional additive module for thermal stability or anti-icing additive injection;

• Unisex dry-break fittings with built-in valves, so connections are quick, dry and directionless;

• Lay-flat discharge hoses are used throughout the system for portability;

• Eight 6’ (1.8 m) aviation EI 1529 suction hoses;

• A small recirculation manifold to enable operators to filter fuel, daily, before issuing to aircraft;

• Adapter fittings are provided to enable connection to fuel from other sources such as tankers;

• Closed-circuit refueling, over-wing and under-wing nozzles;

• Four 528 USG (5,000 litre) double-walled Arctic King, Desert King or Jungle King tanks Certified to CAN/CSA B837-14 with build-in secondary containment certified to CAN/ULC S668-12.

• Four patented Full Flag™ overfill protection vent systems for the Double-Walled tanks.

• The system is completely bonded to protect against static discharge.

• It comes with dead-man control switches at refueling points.

• Two fire extinguishers, a fire blanket and an emergency spill kit are included with the maintenance kit.

• All components are portable, meaning handling by minimal personnel.

• All components can be packed inside two collapsible, tactical, airworthy containers.

• Operation, maintenance and environmental compliance manuals included.
