Direct Hydrostatic Propulsion Control: Enables smoothreliable shifting capabilities and ease of service.

Traction Lock System: An electronically controlled positivetraction, dual planetary drive for improved tractive effort.

Traction Drive: Independent, hydrostatic direct drive systemwith electric/hydraulic controlled single speed planetariesand 2-speed motors. Speed selection is infinitely variable ineach of two speed ranges:Low Range @ 2100 rpm ............................0-196 fpm (60 m/min)High Range @ 2100 rpm............................ 0-9.9 mph (16 km/hr)Reverse .................. Full reverse in any of the two speed ranges

Powerful Engine: Cummins (4) cylinder, water-cooled,turbocharged, charge air cooled diesel model QSB4.5T3 275 cubic inch (4.5 L) displacement engine developing 110 HP (82 kW) @ 2200 rpm. Other standard equipment includes an engine housing with sound suppression, air cleaner with replaceable element, replaceable oil filter and diesel fuel filter. Engine throttle presets (3) Idle, Operation, and Travel mode.

Murphy Link System: With PowerView Display for enginemonitoring and diagnostics.

Cooling System: Multi-blade, variable pitch fan for optimized systems cooling. 26 Qts. (24.6 L).

Brakes: Primary braking is accomplished through the dynamics of the hydrostatic traction drive system. Hydraulic secondary parking brakes, an internal element of the planetary final drives, can be actuated from either operator’s console. These spring applied, hydraulically-released brakes provide a failsafe braking system. Autobrake is standard.

Controls: Dual control positions are each equipped with anoperator’s seat and direction/speed control pedestal.Operating console pivots right and left.

Oscillating Push Rollers: Heavy-duty rollers and supportingframe meet tough-duty requirements.

Front Bogies: Four steerable, 12” (305 mm) wide x 22”(559 mm) diameter solid rubber tired wheels, mounted on an offset tandem bogie frame; machine weight is split 40/60% between the front/rear wheels of each bogie for optimum weight distribution. Tie rod synchronized steering cylinders (one on each side) are mounted on the outside of the bogie frame for easy service access.

Material Control System: Separate, infinitely variable speed,hydrostatic planetary drive for right and left side feed systems provide optimum auger/conveyor operation throughout the machine’s range. Right and left side systems function independently and operation is controlled either manually with electrical switches from the operator’s console or the screed control consoles. Maintenance free conveyor and auger bearings eliminate daily greasing requirements. Rounded-corner hopper provides improved material flow.

Front Wheel Assist: An electrical switch on the operator’sconsole activates the fixed–speed front wheel assist foradditional traction when it’s needed most.

Pivot Steering: An electrical switch on the operator’s consolehydraulically destrokes the respective right or left sidetraction pump to the neutral position for power assistedsteering in confined quarters.

Heat: Multiple unitized, SureHeat® heating elements on themain screed and on each extendible section, provide fast, even heat distribution to the entire screed base regardless ofextendible section position.

High–Frequency Vibration: Four (4) separate, self–contained,vibrators spin at 0-3200 rpm (53 Hz)—two (2) vibrators on themain screed and one (1) on each extension.

Center Crown: Hydraulic powered dual crown kits tosimultaneously adjust center lead and tail crown from3” (76 mm) positive to 3/4” (19 mm) negative.

Power system: A 15 kW, hydraulically-powered, generatorhas a primary purpose of providing screed heat. Secondary120V AC power is available through a circuitbreaker-protected, duplex power outlet.

Power Flow Gates: Two independently operated,hydraulically controlled, adjustable flow gates, located in theconveyor tunnel entry at the rear of the hopper, metermaterial delivery to the conveyors.

Conveyors: Drag assemblies consist of solid bars riveted tospecial, heat treated steel offset link R2 (rapid repair) heavybushed roller chain riding on forged steel sprockets.Conveyor floor plates and rear wrap plates are constructed of

abrasion resistant QT steel with a Brinell hardness range of 360 to 440 throughout the entire plate thickness. Conveyor Floor Plate Thickness 3/8” (10 mm).

Power Tunnels: Fully adjustable hydraulic power tunnels extend 9” (229 mm) and improve head of material control providing superior mat quality.

Auger Feed Assembly: Modular construction of the rear feed section (center chain case, right and left side planetary drives, rear conveyor shafts and auger assemblies) permits removal of these major components as a single unit, providing service access in less than half the time required on competitive machines.
