The technology behind the

original PPetrarch panel with

its natural riven slate surface

was developed in the 1970’s.

Through a process of

continuing product

development the range has

been extended to include

Petra rch smooth an

equivalent cladding panel with

a flat surface.

Manufactured with through

colour, Petrarch reconstituted

stone panels offer the

appearance and texture of

natural stone, slate or

terracotta in a large panel

format.

Petra rch cladding panels

have now been used

extensively for over 30 years

for internal and external

applications to new

construction projects and to

refurbish existing buildings.

The full PPetra rch range is

manufactured at our factory in

Sussex, blending natural slate

and stone fillers in a resin

binder with glass fibre

reinforcement.

Applications for PPetrarch

lightweight cladding panels

are virtually limitless, which

together with the range of

distinctive colours and

textures turn design dreams

into reality.

Petra rch panels are

waterproof, maintenance free,

highly resistant to impact and

have a class O fire rating.

Proven performance in a

range of finishes, textures and

colours ensures that in

practice PPetrarch provides a

very cost-effective alternative

to natural stones including

granite and marble.

Exposure to the extremes of

weather conditions and

temperature on actual

installations have proven the

durability of the panels, which

have endured for in excess of

30 years with little change in

physical properties.

Petrarch panels are

waterproof, maintenance free,

highly resistant to impact and

have a class O fire rating.

Proven performance in a

range of finishes, textures and

colours ensures that in

practice PPetrarch provides a

very cost-effective alternative

to terracotta or natural stones

including granite and marble.

Since their introduction into

the market in 1972, PPetrarch

cladding panels have been

consistently specified for new

building projects, frequently

for their lightweight

characteristics, always for

their good looks and

durability.

The robust performance

characteristics make

Petra rch the right choice

for schools, leisure

centres and recreation

facilities as well as for city

centre commercial

developments.

The combination of light

weight and strength in both

7mm and 10mm formats make

Petra rch an ideal choice to

complement and provide relief

and expression to more

conventional glazing and

cladding materials in a wide

range of proprietary curtain

walling and rainscreen

applications.

Petrarch is ideal for use on

wall panelling to lobbies, in

reception and foyer areas,

executive offices, as screens

and office partitioning and in

corridors or lifts.

The PPetrarch range has been

used as an important element of

corporate design for multiple

retail fit outs and refurbishment.

Externally, applications include

cladding to masonry walls,

timber and steel-framed

construction, as curtain walling,

spandrels, fascias, facades,

mansard roofs, soffits, balconies

and shop fronts.

Petra rch has been used

extensively in shopfitting as

fascias, pilasters and stall risers.

PPetrarch are high quality, extremely durable, decorative, lightweight-cladding panels used externally and internally for

new construction and to overclad existing finishes. Being extremely durable and light-weight, they offer advantages over

natural stone, slate, and precast concrete, including ease of handling and saving on fixings and other structural costs

including foundations.

Petrarch standard finish is

non-absorbent and in the

standard finish is highly

resistant to most graffitti, paint

or other marking substances

can be easily removed from

the surface of the panels with

soap and water or the

appropriate solvents. Anti

graffiti options are available

for non-standard finishes.

The performance and physical properties of PPetrarch,

particularly flexural strength and weight combined in a

factory fabricated panel provides total compatibility with

proprietary or customised curtain wall systems and

interfaces naturally with glazing and other components.

Petrarch is non-absorbent

and in the standard finish is

resistant to most graffiti. Anti

graffiti options are available

for non-standard finishes and

for areas at high risk.

Petrarch panels are produced in a range of solid colours including Jade, Heather, Graphite, Parchment, Lightstone,

Pewter, Limestone, Alabaster, Aluminum, and three Terracotta colours plus a range of marbled multi coloured finishes

including Arizona, Ash, Mocha, Salmon, Russet, Mojave, Dorset, Dover, Portland and Rye.

Many existing non-standard colours are available and special colours can be developed for specific projects subject to

quantity. All colours are available in a choice of finishes with either a riven or a smooth face format.

Petra rch Riven reproduces the surface of the original riven slate master and is available with a standard or matt finish.

Petra rch SSmooth has a flat surface and is available with a standard, matt, or honed finish.

Choice of texture with the Riven or smooth surface adds a tactile dimension to product selection, by designating the

surface finish and patternation, the colours gain additional character and depth:

For a product sample card, colour chart or a larger sample of a specific colour or texture please contact our Hastings

office. Other colours are available on request and we can create bespoke finishes to match specific requirements.

Note: Because of the very high natural stone content slight shade variations will always exist and are seen to add to the

natural stone-like qualities of this range of products.
