Profile. I am a passionate and tenacious individual, who has an affinity for design and a keen eye for detail. I gather inspiration from everything I do and have a very diverse range of abilities within my field. I have graduated from the University of the Arts London where I studied Surface Design, and found a passion for designing and screen-printing my own designs on T-shirts, fabrics and wallpapers. In my spare time I design merchandise for my own independent projects and others, so I constantly have to keep up with trends and quickly produce designs that will sell without compromising the brand’s image. I am very eager to learn new trades and skills, and develop my own skills further. Skills. Screen-Printing Process – I have extensive knowledge of the screen printing process. I have a very good knowledge of ink systems, screen meshes and other printable substances e.g. acid etch, foil and flock. Knowledge of Materials – I admit to being a “geek” when it comes to fabrics, dyes and paper (weights, types, weaves, properties, discharge ratings ect) Computer Literacy – I am confident with Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator, I can also use the Microsoft Office package. I have some experience of website design coding and I am very comfortable with computer aided design. Customer Service Skills – I am experienced in providing great customer service over the telephone, the internet and face to face. Typography – I am confident with a wide variety of fonts and typefaces and am able to create my own hand drawn fonts. Social Media Training – I am trained by Greene King and Metropolitan to maximize the potential of social media sites for a business (Facebook and Twitter).
