PETA RECOGNIZES AND COMMENDS

JODIE WIEDERKEHR for leading the fight to ban horse-drawn carriages from the streets of Chicago.

Because of her efforts, horses will no longer be forced to pound the pavement through extreme heat, thunderstorms, or blizzards in the Windy City. This groundbreaking victory

marks Chicago as the largest city in the United States to ban the cruel industry.

PETA thanks her for her efforts and hopes that this kinder, carriage-free city will inspire others to follow suit.
