What do I need to set up in PestPac to use the PestPac Mobile App?

You must set up the following in PestPac before you can start using the PestPac Mobile app on your

device. Take care of these steps first.

Step 1: Turning on the module.

Go to Company and click on Company Setup.

Under Additional Modules click on PestPac Mobile App.

Check the box for Use PestPac Mobile App.

Here you will see how many licenses you have available. Configure the options you want to use for

credit card payment batches and signatures then click Save.

4

Step 2: Configuring Access Rights.

Go to Company and click on Lookup Tables.

Click on Access Templates.

5

Click on the access template you want to set up for your technicians if it already exists or click on Add

Access Template or Clone Access Template if you are creating a new one.

Click into the Access Template you are editing. The following access right options exist for use with

the PestPac Mobile App.

NOTE: If you are using the Administrator template ALL options will be enabled. A separate template

will need to be created to make adjustments.

6

Under PestPac Mobile App Options:

Change Order Services and Pricing: If enabled, techs can edit the service codes and pricing from

within the service order in the app.

Create New Customers and Orders: If enabled, techs can create new locations and service orders

from within the app.

Show Future Orders: If disabled, techs will only see orders dated for the past, today and tomorrow.

Show Prices and Balances: If enabled, techs will see prices and balances on the main service

order screen and the payment screen.

Under PestPac Mobile App Advanced Options:

Associate Orders: If enabled, techs will be able to combine 2 or more orders for the same location

as long as they are from different setups and the orders are all assigned to the tech.

Check for Scheduling Conflicts: If enabled, the app will check for conflicts and not allow the tech to

schedule an order is another order exists during that same time.

Edit Order Types: If enabled, techs will be able to change the order types of Service Order,

Estimate, Production and Call-Back.

Force Scan for Device Activity: If enabled, techs will be forced to scan a barcode in order to inspect

a device. If disabled, techs will be able to tap on a device in the app to inspect it without having to

scan the barcode.

Geocode a Location: If enabled, the app will check to see where the tech’s current coordinates are

of their physical location when they start an order and if it doesn’t match the latitude and longitude

currently on the account it will ask if they would like to update them.

Post Orders as Not Serviced: If enabled, techs will be able to post an order as NS (not serviced)

and if disabled, the option won’t even show in the app.

Re-open a Completed Order: If enabled, a tech will have the ability to re-open an order once it has

been completed and change the status to in progress. If disabled, an order can not be re-opened

once completed.

their day in the app. Separate setup is required to configure this feature. Please refer to the training
