Carl’s Jr. food is recognizing Level 1 (Physiological needs) of Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs (Hunger, thirst)
Sara Jean Underwood (The blonde one) is an OSU alumni
Clever? Appealing to the senses? Did this ad grab your attention? Does this ad make you want a burger?
Shaping is the reinforcement of successive acts that lead to a desired behavior pattern
What this means? Carl’s Jr. ads have made an impression on
young men through the use of attractive women reinforcing the theory that sex sells
Geared towards men consumers more than women consumers
Not realistic (Women with those bodies don’t actually eat that kind of food…)
Not considered by most to be “Family Friendly” and usually fast food has a family friendly image
According to Forbes, Carl’s Jr impression scores increased significantly among young men since the commercial’s (referring to a previous Kate Upton Carl’s Jr. commercial) release on February 26. The impression score however did not see a significant impact among the general public.
