Going from national to internationalGlobal challenges as identified by the Goverment in 2011: (8 research focuses)

Trends in research and global challenges:

Indonesia opens itself for international research collaboration in order to improve the education, research, and community services in Indonesia

Indonesian government supports international collaborations particularly higher education institutions in Indonesia in 8 main focus areas

Indonesia concern’s in the world university ranking: WUR is one of the tools to improve the educational quality of higher education institutions in terms

of education, research, and community services , so called Tri Dharma 14
