Happy 50th Year- AUSD adopted the Merit System in 1965 for classified employees

65% of Classified Employees in California are under the provisions of the Merit System.

efficient manner to support the District’s goal to advance student

“I like being a Commissioner because I like being part of something positive. Being a former AUSD Classified employee, I am familiar with some of the challenges at the sites. Being on the Commission is being part of some of those solutions. I see how hard HR works, the communication, the work behind the scenes, and it has given me a better understanding of the importance of the Merit System/Commission. I hope that as a Commissioner, I am representing classified employees in the manner in which they selected me to do. I hope they too, have a better understanding of the job of the Personnel Commission.”
