Personality Disorders: A Social Perspective
Utilising research findings from Julia’s qualitative study, the workshop will consider both service users and mental health social workers understanding of personality disorder. The workshop will also explore the ‘nature’ of social work practice in this area and critically assert a social perspective on personality disorder, to underline social work’s contribution to modern mental health services and, vitally, more effective outcomes for people living with personality disorder.
