How do Personal Emergency Response Systems Work?

• Emergency Button– The system comes with a waterproof

button that can be attached to a pendent or a wristband

– One press of the button notifies a monitoring center of an emergency

• System Control Panel– A control panel in the home receives the

signal from the button and alerts the monitoring center

• Emergency Response Center– Alerts emergency contacts and emergency

personnel that the user needs help

In case of emergency, press the rescue alert button on the pendant to contact an ADT monitoring representative

An ADT monitoring representative will contact you when the personal alert is activated. If you have 2-Way Voice, they will contact you there. If not, you will receive a phone call.

The ADT monitoring representative will contact local emergency services if needed.
