Performing Arts Resume Artist Statement - Normal has never fit quite right, and whether it’s classical ballet, a Paul Taylor
signature move or street performance, I am always experimenting with the artistry of each movement
and step in order to achieve a great performance and create a truly unique experience for the audience.
I teach my students to do the same.

Work & Experience ArtsCharlotte – 1 YEAR, CURRENT
Volunteer Artistic Director for the Performing Arts Affinity group of AC, networking dancers,
choreographers, actors, musicians and all other varieties of performing artists for
encouragement, enrichment and engagement in the community of Charlotte. Core team
member managing daily administrative tasks and decisions with the ArtsCharlotte Core team.

ALETHEIA CHRISTIAN COLLEGE – 6 YEARS, CURRENT Assistant professor and trip director for a cultural immersion experience in Cairo, Egypt with Director
Lori Lawson (See faculty reference under Education- Aletheia Christian College). Students were
encouraged to engage culture thoroughly, including dance, music and religious expression.
2 years as Administrative Director, coordinating the fundamentals of an educational and community
minded non-profit. My responsibilities included chairing board meetings, preparing and implementing
strategic planning sessions, social networking, web design, small and large scale fundraising, grant
writing, staff manager, annual reporting and filing tasks with the State of Idaho and the IRS, student
life coordinator, and personal assistant to the Academic Dean in the creation and testing of new
curriculum.
Prior to serving as Administrative Director I have served solely as a volunteer for 2 years, and a student
worker for 2 years, working as a technical assistant for teachers and administrative staff, and building
a portfolio in marketing design and event coordinating.

MELODIES BALLET STUDIO –
4 years as owner, teacher and choreographer of a private ballet studio dedicated to
excellence in the artistry and performance of dance, and the development of each dancer as
a wholistic and unique individual. Age range 2.5-18. My teaching personal teaching style uses
ballet as a technical base for exploring a full range of physical, mental and emotional motion
within dance and performing arts, and furthers the development of the entire dancer through

exercises and games that teach music theory, musicality, character, expression and individual
creativity.

COLLEGE OF SOUTHERN IDAHO –
Local dance teacher and coordinator for the youth participants in Ballet Idaho’s annual
Nutcracker performance.
YOUTH WITH A MISSION –
Student in an educational and performing arts intensive that combines in-country training and
a 3 month Europe and North Africa performing arts tour. I collaborated with a variety of
American and international artists and performed dance, theater and choir pieces in the
show.
JEROME RECREATION CENTER –
1 year as dance teacher and program director for the rec district dance program.
ADDITIONAL PERFORMING ARTS EXPERIENCE –
Stage hand for youth musicals, choreographer for youth ensemble of Oklahoma, 4 years of
competitive experience with the Canyon Rim Dance Classic and Utah’s Lagoon dance
competition, and guest teaching in multiple studios in Southern Idaho.
Recent Performance & Choreography Hypostases – a modern and contemporary piece exploring the personness of the Trinity as an
existential challenge to both the performers and the audience. This is a 360 degree
performance, aprox. 8 minutes in length to a personal arrangement of Festival by Sigur Ros.
Pnumatika – a contemplative piece on the nature of the Mystery of Spirit. This is an outdoor
performance wherein the dancer partners with the elements, music and poetry, aprox. 4
minutes in length to a personal arrangement of Who has Seen the Wind by Christina Rossetti,
and Not Alright by Sigur Ros.
Works by Kelli Brown of Boise Idaho’s OCD Dance Company, in collaboration with the Dance
Department of the College of Southern Idaho.
Dance Training CLASSICAL TRAINING & EXPERIENCE –
10 years of classical ballet training in the Cecchetti method in studios, intensives and
masterclasses. 4 years studying and teaching Vaganova in my private studio and as a guest
teacher. Ongoing training in classical ballet with the Charlotte Ballet.

ADDITIONAL DANCE TRAINING –
A variety of modern styles, Paul Taylor technique with Taylor 2 company and artistic director,
Musical Theater, Jazz, Tap, Hip-Hop, African Caribbean. This training occurred in private
studio settings, undergraduate work, as well as workshops, summer intensives, masterclasses
and guest teachers.
Education GORDON-CONWELL THEOLOGICAL SEMINARY – SEEKING MA IN CHRISTIAN THOUGHT, 3.8 GPA
With the invitation of GCTS faculty, I am seeking this degree in order to promote a true
integration of theology and the arts through creative in-class projects and performances.

COLLEGE OF SOUTHERN IDAHO – DANCE MAJOR, 3.6 GPA
In addition to fundamental academics, I have studied and performed ballet at the highest
levels offered, modern at the highest levels offered, choreography studies and dance
appreciation. Additionally, I have participated in acting classes, stage design, and performed
with the CSI Theater Department, studied vocal performance for four years, and been invited
to guest present my music teaching methods in elementary education classes.

Music, Dance, Bible and early childhood Reading & Writing. Projects included classroom teaching in
multiple grades and subject areas, practical experience in one room schools, and starting my own
dance studio as a community project incorporating one-room school classroom management
techniques.
Biblical Studies & Ministry – with an emphasis in Old Testament and international ministry. Projects
and activities include teaching youth groups in multiple denominations, four years of mentored ministry
with the Dean of Biblical Studies, service as the director of ACC’s International Summer Youth Camp for
four years, training high school and college students for practical, overseas ministry, church planting
and starting county’s sole international youth group in partnership with ACC and the MVEV Free Church.
