Passdoor optionThe passdoor with low threshold is designed to optimisecomfortable pedestrian passing and minimises the risk oftripping. The sturdy design of the bottom profi le does not require to strengthen the door leaf with an additional bottom reinforcement truss.

[01] The top seal is installed on the top panel, to seal the gap between the panel and the wall. The fl exible rubber seal provides continuous pressure on the lintel, ensuring maximum sealing.

[02] The side seal closes the gap between the wall and the door leaf. To ensure maximum sealing and low friction the fl exible rubber seal follows the profi le of the door leaf precisely.

[03] Installed on the bottom edge of the bottom panel, the bottom seal acts as a barrier as well as a shock absorber. The fl exible rubber O-shaped profi le ensures a maximum sealing.

Hardware options

[04] Wider door panels and panels with windows are reinforced with metal profi les that act as trusses. These trusses reduce bending of the panel caused by wind loads or when the door leaf is in the horizontal position bending under its own weight.

[05] For manual operation, every Normstahl Industrial sectional door is provided with a solid, easy to grip and step–on handle, fi nished with the Normstahl logo.

[06] The passdoor with low threshold is designed to optimise comfortable pedestrian passing and minimises the risk of tripping.

The panel is designed withoutthermal bridges (metal-metal connections) and the insulationseals are deeply integrated between the sections. The newlydesigned finger pinch protection stands for the highest security.

Providing light and exposureThe Normstahl OSF42A Industrial sectional door is a framed and glazed door designed to be used when there is need for light, exposure or vision. Typical applications are showrooms, fire stations or workshops where optimal daylight inlet and/or exposure is desirable.

Frames, windows and insulated sectionsThe modular design of the Normstahl OSF42A Industrial sectional door gives the freedom to make a specifi c confi guration suitable for every situation. The aluminium frame sections are anodised or painted and can be fully glazed or delivered with panel infi lls. The bottom section allows a choice between a framed and an insulated panel.

Normstahl IDO operatorThe Normstahl IDO operator is a combination of the Normstahl IDO mechanical unit and a Normstahl C600-series Door control system. This system is available in 2 versions, for doors up to 400 kg and for doors over 400 kg weight.

Normstahl C600 Door control systemsThe Normstahl C600 Door control system provides a range of control units, from basic up, stop and down buttons to advanced automated control. The design of the control unit is based on modules, and safety upgrades and other automation functions are available. Additional kits such as magnetic loop, photocells, radar, radio and reduced door opening can be connected easily.

Mechanical unitsOne main part of the system is the mechanical unit: an electric motor which drives the balancing shaft with the cable drums and torsion springs. It can be retrofi tted to an already installed door. The mechanical unit is mounted directly onto the balancing shaft and does not require any special wall reinforcement.

Types of operationThe Normstahl Industrial sectional doors can be opened and closed manually. They can also be prepared for electrical operation. Electrically operated doors can be controlled by hand or be fully automatic. Traffi c frequency, climate requirements and the weight of the door play a key role in choosing the optimal control system.

Manual operationThe Normstahl Industrial sectional doors can be operated manually with a pull-down rope. The pull-down rope is directly connected to the door leaf. For heavier doors, a chain hoist allows easier door operation. The chain hoist is a geared (ratio 1:4) chain transmission directly connected to the shaft, for 1” shaft types. Recommended for doors weights up to 400 kg.

Electrical operationThe Normstahl Industrial sectional doors can be supplied or upgraded with an electrical operating system. Electrical operation gives access to the full program of Access and Automation functions, that can fulfi ll many operational needs, related to traffi c type and frequency, door weight and temperature control.

WindowsThe paneled sections can be glazed with windows*. The number of windows per section is directly related to the overall width. *The bottom section cannot be glazed.

Cylinder lockThe Cylinder lock is a key operated lock which offers extra security. The lock is installed on the inside and can be unlocked with a key and turning the handle. Access to the Cylinder lock is possible from either only the inside, or both the inside and the outside.

Frame sectionThe Normstahl OSP42A Industrial sectional door can be fi tted with a Normstahl OSF42A frame section. The height of this section 545 mm (OSP42A). The section height for Normstahl OSF42 is variable (425 - 700 mm).

Safe and effi cientWith a Normstahl LS60A swing lip leveller it is possible to have a safe and effi cient loading operation at the dock; there is no problem zone but a high performance zone. Excellent conditions for personnel and goods secure that injuries and damages are minimized. Easy to operate loading solution Due to the easy operation and reliable function the swing lip leveller is the standard solution in general industry applications. The gap between the building and the truck bed is safely bridged by the swing lip.


Easy positioningWith the telescopic lip technology the truck can be approached smoothly and exactly whereby the truck bed can be fully utilized. The loading of a truck not being positioned 100% correctly in the docking bay can be compensated by the larger contact area of the telescopic lip. Easy manual operation A gas spring with chain hoist facilitates easy handling whereby a heavy workload of the personnel can be avoided. The Normstahl LM60A Mini leveller can be operated only by one person. It is extremely easy to lift up the platform and position the lip on the truck bed.

Easy and practical loading solutionBesides the conventional loading bay inside the building often an outside ramp is planned additionally when a new warehouse is being constructed. For this application the drawbridge leveller is the ideal solution. Due to the easy installation directly at the edge of the ramp this solution can also be used for existing buildings with outside ramps.

Weather protection while loading and unloadingThe mechanical curtain dock shelter provides protection against wind and weather during the loading and unloading of trucks. The results are improved working conditions and improved protection of the goods. It is the cost effective standard solution in general industry and logistics applications.

Durable embracing for most trucks The most common sizes of trucks can be processed with the dock shelter Normstahl SM1A. The front and rear frames are of galvanized steel profi les which are connected with strong bracing arms. The fl exible front curtains made of extremely resistant PVC secures that the complete dock shelter withstands the high load during daily loading operation.

Energy-conscious planners and ownersThe infl atable shelter is the recommended sealing system for energy-conscious and owners. Due to the high insulation this system is the optimal solution for temperature controlled premises.

Compensates for vertical truck movementThe infl atable shelter Normstahl SI1A follows the vertical movements of the truck during loading and unloading. The side and top bags are mounted in a wall-roof-wall construction of ISO panels and the sealing effect is excellent also for different truck body shapes.
