• 16 oz. of Publix brand Italian bread dough • 8 oz. of Bridgeford Pepperoni. (sliced) • 1 cup of Shredded Mozzarella cheese • 1/4 cup of grated parmesan cheese • 1 egg yolk • A pinch of oregano
Wash Hands!
• Roll the dough out thin (1/4 inch) into a large square on a floured surface.
• Fill the square with rows of pepperoni, parmesan cheese, and a pinch of oregano leaving approximately 1 1/2 inches around the edge clear.
• Fold in left and right sides and press dough firmly down to keep the pepperoni in.
• Begin rolling up from bottom like a jelly roll.
• Preheat oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit.
• Place loaf on greased baking sheet, and let rise for about 30 minutes.
• Lightly beat egg yolk with a little bit of water and brush it on loaf before baking.
• Bake at 400 degrees on the bottom rack for 5 minutes and then reduce temperature to 350 degrees.
• Bake for 40 to 45 minutes.
** We keep a piece of foil on the top rack of the oven to prevent the bread from getting
too brown on top.**
