HR Restructure
Design and development of a new HR department structure that was aligned to the
company’s HR strategy, corporate objectives and international best practice
One of the key focus areas of the new HR structure was to ensure that it would help ‘fix the
basics’ of HR
Development of comprehensive job descriptions for each position
Customer Service Training Project
As part of a major rebranding exercise, PeopleFirst designed and delivered a two (2) day
tailored customer experience training programme for 450 customer service representatives
The interactive programme was designed to develop essential customer service skills in
order to help deliver aspirational customer service in line with the new brand
The programme included features of the new outlets, the role of the CSR and customer
satisfaction KPIs
The training programme was rolled out across Oman in both Arabic and English

Performance Management
PeopleFirst was engaged by Omantel’s Board to review its existing performance
management framework in order to establish and implement a framework aligned to
international best practice
This lead to a major redesign of the framework which was focused on establishing a fair and
consistent process to drive a performance based culture and reflect a fair and accurate
account of performance across the organisation

Implementation of an organisational redesign which involved design and implementing of a
fair and equitable process to displace and reselect managers based on future requirements
Recruitment and selection of key members of the Leadership team including COO and VP

Acting in the role of EVP Human Resources, Asma Bajawa and members of the PeopleFirst
team were mandated to lead the privatisation process from the HR perspective
Established the key principles of transition from the Department of Civil Aviation to the newly
formed ADAC which involved a reduction of 600 people, both expatriate and UAE
Achieved a reduction of 600 employees during the transition with new contracts with terms
