Most Americans are not getting enough vitamin D especially in the winter months when being sun deprived. This vitamin is important as it helps us absorb much needed calcium from food and maintain healthy immune and nerv-ous system. To get more vitamin D try eating fatty fish like tuna or salmon, buy vitamin D fortified foods such as milk or breakfast cereal. Ask your healthcare provider if vitamin D supplements such as D2 & D3 are needed.

Give to the Max Day—November 14th

Early giving begins November 1st

Message from the Bishop:

“We of the Northwestern Minnesota Synod know who we are and who we are becoming. We are

a people so emboldened by the grace of God through Jesus Christ that we have been freed to be-

come communities wholly devoted to loving Jesus and loving our neighbor. This year’s GiveMN

Give to the Max Day, Nov. 14 is an opportunity to practice that love. If you think about why we

give, there are really only two reasons: we give to love God, and we give to love our neighbor.

It’s another way of saying that we give out of joy and gratitude, and we give because we want to

make life better for the people we are called to care for.”

Send checks payable to -Northwestern Minnesota Synod, with GiveMN-Synod in the memo to:

age everyone to help fill at least one box, or if you would like to donate items you can do that

also. There are drop off boxes throughout the church for your items. Money donations are

also welcomed to help with shipping cost or we can use the money to buy items to fill more
