The Handicap Pairs was hotly contested and played in the spirit of good sportsmanship. It was pleasing to see so many bowlers playing competitive bowls whilst also enjoying themselves. Well done to all the players (and umpire) for supporting this event. Thanks go to Peter Nolan, Keith Cunningham and John Archer for their assistance with the handicapping.

Congratulations to our Handicap Pairs Winners: Barry Baird and Henry Hua. Congratulations to the Runners-Up: Ralph George and Barry Fisher. Russell McGarrity Match Committee Chairman, etc.

Committee News Starting times on Wednesdays The earlier starting time of 10.30 am proposed to begin on 2 November will now not happen. The reason for this is that we, in conjunction with the Women's Club, propose to have a farewell function for Fred McEnearney, at this stage to be the 30th (his last day). The time is to be around 4 pm to 6 pm. With the earlier starting time of 10.30, we could not expect members to have to wait around for another couple of hours for the function to begin. By starting at the current time of 12.30 pm, the time between the end of bowls and the function will be minimal. Ken Byatt Team App

The Zone Secretary would like to encourage as many of their 2,500 club members to sign onto the Zone 10 Team App. “It’s a great tool that will allow us to get information out to all players including upcoming events, zone results, team selections, as well as live scoring at zone events. All they need is a smartphone and the instructions are included below”
