Excellent for a bright satin finish Aluminum oxide is a soft, fast cutting abrasive 120/180 grit - that creates a matte finish and is generally used for blending surfaces and removing oxides and firescale Silicon carbide is not recommended as it is a contaminating media Normally use the smallest size of abrasive to do the job. A smaller size works faster because there are more impacts per pound, with more coverage and it reaches into intricate areas Due to the impact of the abrasive on the work piece, abrasives lose their edges after a period of use. It is best to replace abrasives completely (do not mix old abrasives with new) It is not recommended to mix two different types of abrasive, because the harder abrasive will overpower the softer abrasive and the softer abrasive will not have any visible effect on the work The ceramic nozzle orifice is 3mm in diameter.(#16) In use the orifice will tend to get larger. Caution! •

• Keep the unit away from direct sunlight• The unit must be operated in a well ventilated room• Do not exceed the maximum recommended air pressure• Do not open the viewing glass immediately after blasting • Use clean compressed air to protect the unit from being damaged• Never mix glass beads and aluminum oxide abrasive• When the dust filter gets clogged, tap the jar gently, then unscrew it and

vacuum the filter. Wear dust mask.

Operating Instructions:•

• Connect the air supply to the air inlet (11)• Open the viewing panel by turning the panel lock (4) counter clockwise • Pour the blasting media, glass beads or abrasives into the unit

(approximately 3 lbs.), make sure media is not above the mesh grate in the bottom of the blaster

• Put pieces to be blasted on mesh grate• Close the door by turning the panel lock clockwise • Always keep the panel door locked whenever the unit is in use to prevent

moisture entering and media from being blown out and inhaled• Turn on air compressor, and set pressure to approx. (65-80PSI)• Lift and turn the knob on the sandblaster's air regulator (10) to set the

pressure- do not exceed the recommended pressure for each media. When starting the comressor, it is necessary to pull down on teh drain valve on the bottom of the air filter (13) for a few seconds, until the pressure builds up enough for the valve to stay down on its. When the desired pressure is reached press down knob on top of air filter

• Inside the unit is a switch to activate the blasting nozzle• The blasting nozzle may be used in a fixed or free hand position

(slide nozzle out of bracket to use it free hand)• Turn off switch and allow media to settle before opening panel• When viewing is impaired, peel off and replace the protective mylar film• At the end of each use, push up on drain valve at the bottom of the air

filter to allow trapped moisture to drain out
