MYTH

Bellerophon tamed Pegasus, and he rode him into

the battle against the fire breathing Chimera. Later

the hero attempted to ride Pegasus into the heavens.

The gods caused him to buck. Bellerophon then fell

back down to earth. However, Pegasus kept on going

until he made it to Mount Olympus where he lived

out the rest of his days in one of Zeus’ stables.

PEGASUS AND THE MUSES

After being taken by Athena, he was then brought

to Mount Helicon where he was raised by the muses.
