In 2012,NASA have done some experiments in ISS and Kennedy ground control center to test if the

optics adjust can effect the human vision, movement and the concentration of melatonin in the blood,

the experiment results proved that the light have extremely strong restrain effect of the

melatonin secretion, but will not take any effect to the vision and movement.(Brainard et al.,Acta

Astronautica 2013) melatonin is a kind of Psychopathic hormone which is secreted by the

Why we can wake up on time without alarm clock? It is because we have a intangible clock in our body,

and it have a huge effect on our body health. All the human beings work and rest by one day and night.

How does PEGASI work?

PEGASI smart sleep glasses effects the secretion of melatonin and cortisol by the special blue light,

decrease the melatonin secrection in the blood and increase the cortisol in the day to help people reduce

weariness and feel refreshing and attention focusing, improve work efficiency.

At night the concentration of melatonin in the blood will increase and the cortisol will decrease, so that

the fall asleep time will be shorten and sleep quality will be improved. By this way to help people have a

healthy work and sleep cycle.

Why light can adjust human’s biological clock

In 2002, the scientist in Brown University found that there were third kind ipRGC in human’s eyes,

this kind cell can receive light signal and project to the Biological regulator(SCN) of the brain, and

control the conarium to adjust the secretion level of melatonin by SCN, so that to help human to

adjust the biological rhythm of the day and night.

There are two known kind of hormone which are effected by the light:

Melatonin and cortisol：

Melatonin is sleep hormone, the concentration of melatonin increase in the blood, people will sleepy,

concentration decrease, people will feel refreshing.

Cortisol is stress hormone, it can provide energy and make people concentrate on things and boost

immunity.
