Eastern Virginia Medical School is accredited by the ACCME to provide continuing medical education for physicians. Course Objectives • Diagnosis and treat traumatic brain injuries in pediatric patients. • Identify communication and clinical challenges for field providers. • Evaluate cases from a medical examiner’s point of view. • Execute proper wound and burn care in pediatric patients. • Discuss the pediatric trauma resuscitation survey. • Recognize signs of potential abuse in the pediatric patient.

Pediatric Trauma Conference OverviewChildren’s Hospital of The King’s Daughters Pediatric Trauma Conference is a one-day accredited pediatric course designed to provide knowledge and skills related to pediatric trauma from content experts. In addition, we seek to enhance the ability of our community and pediatric colleagues to manage pediatric trauma cases. The conference will provide various learning methodologies presented by experts in pediatric trauma. These will include forums for informal learning and discussion as well as formal presentations.

The CHKD Pediatric Trauma Conference has been organized to inform: • pediatricians • primary care physicians • subspecialty physicians • nurse practitioners • nurses • paramedics and emergency medical technicians • residents and fellows • other health care professionals

Accommodations:A room block has been reserved for attendees

at The Westin Virginia Beach Town Center at the group rate of $159 per night. Please
