Robofest, an international scholastic robotics program, will hold it’s third annual Hawaii regional tournament on Saturday, March 27th, at Pearlridge Center. Robofest motivates students in the areas of science, technology, engineering and mathematics through robotic activities that stimulate innovation, problem solving and teamwork.

In 2009, over 1750 students from 5 different foreign countries and the United States participated in Robofest. Hawaii is one of 32 international site hosts.

The 2010 Hawaii Robofest event will feature students competing in autonomous robotic challenges and exhibits as well as showcasing special projects based on a local theme “ The Global Ahupua’a”. This years’ biodiversity theme challenges Hawaii students to explore life forms in an ecosystem – how living things depend on each other to evolve.

Pearlridge Center is pleased to announce the addition of some exciting new stores to the mix to enhance your shopping experience. Bed Bath & Beyond will be opening a 65,000 square foot store, in the space formerly occupied by Circuit City, this summer. They will feature a range of products for the home - from linens to window treatments to dinner and tableware and more. They will also have a bridal registry. Panda Express, the Chinese fast food chain, expected to open in March, will be located next to Pearl's Korean BBQ, Uptown. Their delicious offerings will include orange chicken, Beijing Beef and

Kung Pao Chicken. JHL Jewelry will open their store next to Pastry House, Uptown, in April. They specialize in wedding jewelry and also mount precious gems on rings.
