A practicing cardiologist at LeBauer Heart Care in Greensboro, NC, Dr. Bensimhon is a leader in applying health care technology to the delivery of high-quality, patient-centered cardiac medicine. He has been instrumental in developing iCorHealth’s telemedicine strategy and technology, and is also the founder of Moonlighting Solutions, which provides telemedicine, telecardiology and physician recruitment services to medical practices and hospitals across the country.

Dr. Bensimhon joined LeBauer HeartCare in 2005 and currently serves as the co-director of the Advanced Heart Failure Clinic at Moses Cone Hospital, director of the Cardiopulmonary Exercise Laboratory

and president of the LeBauer Cardiovascular Research Foundation.

He holds academic appointments at Duke University Medical Center and University of North Carolina-Greensboro. Dr Bensimhon is board certified in internal medicine, cardiology and advanced heart failure/ transplant cardiology. He earned his MD from the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine, graduated cum laude and was inducted into Alpha Omega Alpha, the national medical honor society. He earned his BA in English Literature from Duke University. Among other professional organizations, he is an active member of the Heart Failure Society of America and also MedAxiom.
