Peace Haven Baptist Church Shepherd’s Center Schedule of
Free Activities and Classes:
Mondays:
11:30 AM-12:45 PM – Food and Fellowship (Begins September 26th) Join us for a great social time with card games, other games, and fellowship
over your own sack lunch.
1:00 PM – Chair Exercise (Begins September 26th) This class is designed for those who may be experiencing mobility or balance
issues. Exercises will begin in the chair to increase strength, flexibility and endurance. As ability increases, new exercises will be added in standing
positions using the chair for support and resistance. Teaching techniques for
this class will combine the best of Tai-Chi and American exercises for the best possible benefit.
2:00 PM – 4:00 PM “Off the Shelf”: Organizing Your Family’s Legacy
(Begins September 26th) This is an on-going social organizing group designed to help you conquer your
photo clutter and preserve your history. It’s way past time to organize your photo collection, so your images and story can be preserved and passed on to
future generations. This is much more fun done in a group with an instructor to teach you the easy way to tackle this project and bring it back down to
size. Weekly meetings allow you to work a little at a time. Have fun, get organized, and make friends!
6:30 PM -7:15 PM Intergenerational Yoga
*(Begins September 12th *No Class on September 26th)
Yoga increases flexibility, strength and concentration. It decreases joint pain,
stress and blood pressure. Yoga also improves posture, lung capacity, and even your mood. Many people report sleeping better when practicing yoga.
This is an intergenerational class, so bring children and grandchildren, parents and grandparents. All are welcome!
