EX-GAM - Rise in employment levels of ex-GAM, with most of them now working.
- Mainly farming and agricultural wage
labor, with others mainly performing
non-agricultural daily wage labor.
- Have lower incomes.
- On average - less wealthy.
PEOPLE
OF ACEH
- Reintegration assistance had little
measurable impact on the economic
status.
- Households with no assistance have
increased welfare levels faster.
- Many programs have delivered cashwithout guidance - not effective use.
- Skills training or business
development for all conflict victims.
GOVERNANCE - The growth of the poverty reductiondue to the massive influx of tsunami
reconstruction aid.
- Non-farm employment opportunitiesin the construction and service sectors
are dwindling.
- Households ability to save and
invest.
- Increased employment through new
investment.
- Investment in Aceh still remains
minimal.
- The draft Aceh Green policy
framework employs a progressiveapproach to investment and
development.
