Seno Ticko, Niger Thank you for your support. The villagers of Seno Ticko are experiencing clean drinking water for the first time, and a healthier future is now a reality. A new well, drilled by our partner, World Vision, is providing 1,006 people with an accessible source of clean water. This means that women and girls no longer have to walk for hours every day to fetch water. Water, sanitation, and hygiene committees, comprised of community members, are trained and committed to managing the well and ensuring the health of the village for generations to come. Thanks to their focus on community empowerment and sustainability, most of World Vision's wells established more than 15 years ago remain operational. We are multiplying the health benefits of clean water by addressing sanitation and hygiene in Seno Ticko. Activities include helping people build and maintain latrines and providing education on the importance of handwashing. Water, sanitation, and hygiene interventions can dramatically reduce child disease, malnutrition, and death, while increasing school enrollment, attendance and performance, especially among girls. The interventions also multiply income at the household and community level. Thank you for helping us save lives with safe water! The people of Seno Ticko are so grateful for what you have done.
