CALCULATING FENCING BY AREA

Use the calculation guide, the diagram or the table to find the length of fencing you will need to enclose fields of different sizes.

Terminology:

Acreage Diagram

Calculation Guide 1 rod = 16-1/2 feet

10 rods = 165 feet

20 rods = 330 feet

1/4 mile = 1,320 feet or 80 rods

1/2 mile = 2,640 feet or 160 rods

1 mile = 5,280 feet or 320 rods

Rod – A linear unit of measure equal to 5.5 yards or 16-1/2 feet.

Acre – a unit of Area equal to 160 rods, 4,840 square yards, or 43,560 square feet.

HAMMERITE RUST CAP: Hammerite Rust Cap paint is a self-priming, fast dry, rust preventive coating designed to provide both interior and exterior long-last metal protection.
