The EDISON Royale range is a fully modular International range of Switches,Sockets & Accessories with an extensive selection of modules, which simply clip into a wall fixing back frame and are then covered by various designs and colours of front plates. Based on the Continental European style, the Royale range offers greatflexibility. The aesthetically pleasing Royale Switches have high current ratings of up to 20AX for single pole and heavy-duty 20A, 32A & 45A for double pole switches.

Royale front-loading modules allow easy positioning, guarantee safe locking and avoid being unlocked from the frame, when the module is either pushed inwards or the plug is inserted. These accessories have the option of claw fixing or screw mounting.

ISO 9001 Certification was achieved in

December 1997, and reflects the strict

adherence to quality management

techniques from the first day of production.

This certification was given by ASTA and

also covers the in-house design and

development department, which is

continuously designing new products for

the extension of the EDISON range.

Compliance with International Standards of quality has always been a prerequisite in

the design and development of all EDISON

accessories.

In-house type testing capability has been

established with a fully equipped

laboratory, capable of carrying out all the

tests specified in the relevant standards.

This laboratory has been invaluable, both

for quality control and for product

development, reducing substantially the

time to develop new products.

Saudi Arabian Standards Organistaion (SASO)To meet the requirements of the deserts climatic

conditions, EDISON wiring accessories have been

designed and tested so as to conform to the stringent

SASO specifications.

CE marking requirements are met by all EDISON

products which fall within the scope of the relevant

EU directives. For these CE marked products, a

technical file is available for inspection according to

the CE marking requirements, confirming that these

products comply with European safety regulations

under the EMC and LV directives.

A 20 year guarantee is provided by Interplast on all

EDISON accessories (except those containing

electronics) proving Interplast’s commitment to

quality, to the EDISON range and to the electrical

industry.

PRODUCT FEATURES

EDISON Weatherproof Accessories enclosure has been elegantly designed, and has been made from a tough Polycarbonate material suitable for use either outdoors or indoors.

These products offer a protection rating of IP 56, provided they are properly installed and theenclosure lid is closed.This enclosure is intended for surface mounting.

SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

Warning :

SWITCH OFF AND ISOLATE THE MAINS SUPPLY BEFORE CARRYING OUT INSTALLATION OF THIS PRODUCT.

1. This product must be installed by a competent person (e.g. a qualified electrician) in accordance with the instructions and in accordance with the appropriate clause of the latest edition of the IEE wiring regulations.

2. When installing socket products an earthcontinuity conductor must be provided from the origin of the installation to the earth terminal of the socket outlet. This earth conductor must be sleeved inside the enclosure.

3. If metal conduit is used in more than one cable entry, earth continuity must be maintained between conduits.

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

Caution :ENSURE THAT PAINT, CHEMICALS, OR WOOD PRESER-VATIVES DO NOT COME INTO CONTACT WITH THIS PRODUCT.1. Read the safety instructions.2. The enclosure must be mounted on a flat, clean, dry vertical surface (free from grease, dirt and loose material).3. a. Mark the position of the 2 fixing holes on the wall, for the enclosure box. (see sketch 1) b. Drill holes and fit suitable wall plugs for securing screw.4. Carefully remove the cable entry cap or break one or more knockouts, as required and fit the cable gland (not provided) suitable for 20 mm conduit.5. Secure the enclosure box to the wall with two suitable screws (not provided).6. Align and install conduit as required.7. Complete wiring connections to the accessory terminals (on frame / lid assembly). Ensure that cables are not stressed and terminals are fullytightened.8. Locate the ‘Frame/Lid’ assembly to the enclosure box (see sketch 2).9. Ensure that holes are aligned and the gasket is seated properly on the enclosure box.10. Open the lid and secure to the box, using the four captive screws provided. Do not over tighten the screws. NOTE:To maintain IP rating of this product, the lid must be closed and latched.
