WHEREASin terms of Section 14(1) of the NCTEAct, 1993 Bankura ChristianCollege, Po/Dist-Bankura, West Bengal-7221 01 has submitted an application(Code No.APE00748) to the Eastern Regional Committee of NCTEfor grant ofrecognition for starting B.P.Ed. Course of one year duration with an annualintake of 120 (One hundred twentYl students on 08.12.2006.
2. AND WHEREASon scrutiny/perusal of the application submitted by theinstitution, the documents attached therewith, the affidavit and the inputreceived from the visiting team in the form of report and videography,recommendation of the State Governm~nt. the Committee is satisfied that theinstitution/society fulfillsthe requirements under the provisions of t'~CTEAct, Ru!esand relevant Regulations including the Norms and Standards for the Bachelor ofPhysical Education. (B.P.Ed.) programme such as instructional facilities,infrastructural facilities, library, accommodation, financial resources, laboratoryetc. for running the programme and has selected/appointed duly qualifiedteaching staff as per NCTEnorms.
3. NOW, THEREFORE,in exercise of the powers vested under Section 14(3)(a) of the NCTE Act, 1993, the Eastern Regional Committee hereby grantsrecognition to Bankura Christian College, PojDist-Bankura, West Bengal-722101for conducting B.P.Ed. Course of Secondary (Physical Education) level of oneyear duration with an annual intake of 50 (Fifty) students from the academicsession 2008-2009 under clause 7(11) of NCTERegulation, 2007 notified on 10-12-2007 subject to fulfillment of the following:
i. The institution shall, within one month of the receipt of recognitionorder, convert the endowment fund and reserve fund accounts intojoint accounts to be operated along with an officer of the Eastern

The institution shall comply with the various other norms andstandards prescribed in the NCTEregulations, as amended from timeto time.
The institution shall make admission only after it obtains affiliationfrom the examining body in terms of clause 8( 12) of the NCTERegulations, 2007 notified on 10-12-2007.
4. Further, the recognition is. subject to fulfil1ment of all such otherrequirements as may be prescribed under relevant norms and standards ofNCTEfor other regulatory bodies like UGC, the State Government etc, whereverapplicable.
5. The institution shall submit to the Regional Committee a Self-AppraisalReport at the end of each academic year along the statement of annualaccounts duly audited by a Chartered Accountant together with statement ofTD.S. in respect of the salary paid to the staff. A copy of the format is enclosedwith the order.
6. If the institution contravenes any of the above conditions or the provisionsof the NCTEAct, Rules, Regulations and O'ders made or issued there under, theRegional Committee shall withdraw the recognition as stipulated provisions ofSectionl7( 1) of the NCTEAct.
7. The institution shGl1maintain & update its Web-site as per provisions ofNCTERegulations and always display following as mandatory disclosure:-
(i) Copy of the Application Form(ii) Land and Building Particulars(iii) Staff Profile(iv) Recognition letter(v) Information for having fulfilled the norms & standard and other
required conditions.
