Candidat es study the Inspe ction & Testing process in dept h using BS7671:2008 and the IEE publication "Guidance Note 3" for reference.  If you have many years of pract ical expe rience of test ing but no forma l Inspect ion & Testing qualifications, this course will provide you with a highly sought after qualification recognised throughout the electrical industry. It will also bring you up to date with the current regulations and requirements relating to Inspecti on & Testing.  If you are a fully qualified electrician (having completed a City & Guilds 2360 Parts 1 & 2 or equ ivalen t) the n the course will make you eli gib le to be a recognised ele ctrical inspector which would enable you to take on this role for your employer. Entry Requirements  As a minimum, candidates would be expected to hold a current 17 th Edition Certificate (2382-10 or 2382-20) and ideally have relevant electrical installation and testing experience prior to being considered for this course. The 2391-10 is not suitable for those with limited experience of inspection & testing, please see the 2392-10 fundamental course. Assessment  A 2½ hour written paper (closed book)  AND a practical assessment. Duration The course will take four days & the practical assessment will usually take place during your course. The written exam will take place on a Thursday evening shortly after your course. What is included in the course fee?  Your exam fee is included. (Exam resits will be at an additional cost)  You will need to bring your own copy of the IEE Guidan ce Note 3.  Tea & coffee are included, but please note that there are no shops on site and we do not provide lunch. Candidates are advised to make their own arrangements. About The Course This course is intended to provide candidates with an introduction to the initial inspection, testing & verification of electrical installations.  It is suitable for practising electri cians who have not carried out inspectio n & testi ng since qualif yin g or who requir e some update training.  This course is also aimed at those with limite d experienc e of inspection & testing including those entering the industry from other engineering disciplines and allied trades.  The 2392-1 0 can be used as a qualif icati on on its own or as a stepping-stone to the more advanced 2391-10. The course covers initial verif ication of elect rical installations only and not periodic inspection. It is designed around simple single phase installations such as domestic situations. It will provide hands on experience in carrying out initial inspection & testing to comply with the requirements of BS7671:2008. Entry Requirements There are no formal entry requirements but it is expected that candidates should have a basic knowledge & understanding of the current BS 7671:2008 (17 th Edition). About The Course

The City & Guilds 2391-10 course is focussed on Part 6 of the 17th Edition Wiring
