PATCHWORK COMMUNITY GARDENS CREATING NEW INCLUSIVE COMMUNITY GARDEN SPACES IN WATERLOO A new community garden will be raised at the Vermont Park Neighbourhood – volunteers are welcome! Date: August 9 th , 2011 Time: 6pm to 8:30pm Location: Ecole L’ Harmonie, 158 Bridgeport E, Waterloo Waterloo’s Vermont Park Neighbourhood is home to a growing and diverse community of immigrants and young families who stand to benefit from a space to grow accessible, culturally diverse food. Community volunteers are welcome to join a team effort to prepare 15 raised plots that will make up the new Community Garden. Bring a friend, a wheelbarrow, a spade, or just a pair of helping hands! This will also be a great opportunity to meet other active local “foodies”!
