PATCHWORK COMMUNITY GARDENS CREATING NEW INCLUSIVE COMMUNITY GARDEN SPACES IN WATERLOO
A new community garden will be raised at the Vermont Park
Neighbourhood – volunteers are welcome!
Date: August 9th, 2011
Time: 6pm to 8:30pm
Location: Ecole L’ Harmonie, 158 Bridgeport E, Waterloo
Waterloo’s Vermont Park Neighbourhood is home to a growing and diverse
community of immigrants and young families who stand to benefit from a space to
grow accessible, culturally diverse food. Community volunteers are welcome to
join a team effort to prepare 15 raised plots that will make up the new Community
Garden. Bring a friend, a wheelbarrow, a spade, or just a pair of helping hands!
This will also be a great opportunity to meet other active local “foodies”!
