• LAN Connection

• Physical connection to the IPC 100 system• Crossed cable (Ethernet).• PC connected to a switch (or hub).

• IP Address & subnet mask• IPC 100: 172.16.0.10 / 255.255.0.0• To change with PRG 10-12. (Reset system afterwards !)

• Using IPC 100 built-in DHCP server• IPC 100: DHCP-Server activation (PRG 10-13 Reset afterwards!)• IPC 100: DHCP IP-Address Range (PRG 10-14 Reset afterwards!)• PC: Set to DHCP-Client.

• Serial Connection:

• Uses ‘Dial up’ connection using a COM port.• Physical connection setup needs User ID & Password• Connection must be open / active before the

connection within PCPro can be opened.• Connection setup in PCPro uses fixed IP address

which identifies the serial connection:192.78.0.1.• A setup example is shown is the next slides.

• Example made with Windows 2000 Professional.• 19.200 baud rate / hardware flow control COM1 properties.• See also: PCPro manual.

• After the upload is completed do not forget to DISCONNECT.

• Only after disconnect the changes are written to RAM.

• When LED4 has stopped flashing, uploading and saving changes have finished and changes are effective.

• PCPro maintains a History Buffer, that stores all changes you made after (down)loading the current database or after you clicked the toolbar button: ‘Clear History buffer’.

• It is recommended to click ‘Clear History buffer’ after each time you uploaded the changes you made to the PBX.

• Else the History buffer increases and ‘Uploading changes’ will upload a lot of the same changes, which takes more time.

• After you clicked ‘Clear History buffer’ the result of clicking the toolbar button ‘Display modified PRGs’ will be an empty list.

• Import / Export Data.

• Copying data (import / export) from / to PCPro can be done using Excel.

• From Excel to PCPro:• Select the fields which must be copied in Excel.• Enter Control-C using the keyboard.• Switch to PCPro and select the first target field.• Enter Control-V to paste the selected data from Excel.

• Note1: mind the max. length of the PCPro data fields.• Note2: mind the format of the cell data in Excel (text).
