PETER CINCOTTI

Peter Cincotti, singer-songwriter-pianist and native New Yorker, began playing piano at the age of three. While in high school, he regularly performed in clubs throughout Manhattan and by the age of 18 was being called “one of the most promising singer-pianists of the next generation” by the New York Times.

In 2003, Peter’s debut album, produced by the legendary Phil Ramone, reached #1 on the Billboard jazz charts, making Cincotti the youngest artist ever to do so. This led to acclaimed performances at Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, Radio City Music Hall, Paris’ L’Olympia, The Montreux Festival (where he won an award in their renown piano competition), London’s Queen Elizabeth Hall, and many other prestigious venues around the world.

BIOGRAPHY

Peter made his acting debut in the Bobby Darin biopic film Beyond The Sea, and also contributed to the film’s soundtrack. He then made a cameo appearance in the blockbuster film Spider-Man 2, and soon after became the face of Ermenegildo Zegna, promoting their 2004/2005 fashion campaign. His original song “December Boys” was featured in the Australian film December Boys, starring Daniel Radcliffe.

In 2006, Cincotti teamed up with 14-time Grammy Award winner David Foster to record his first album of all original material for Warner Brothers Records entitled “East Of Angel Town.” His single “Goodbye Philadelphia” took the airwaves by storm reaching the Top Ten on radio playlists throughout Europe, and in the Spring of 2009, Cincotti brought the album to the United States by joining the artist Seal on his sold out American tour.

In 2012/2013, Peter toured the world after releasing his fourth studio album “Metropolis” and later that year his first musical “How Deep Is The Ocean?” (in which he wrote music and lyrics and his sister Pia wrote the book) debuted to sold out audiences at the New York Musical Theater Festival.

In February of 2013, Peter appeared in Italy’s legendary San Remo Festival with Italian singer Simona Molinari performing their hit single “La Felicita” to 13 millions broadcast viewers.

Hailed as “the rebirth of cool” by Elle magazine, Peter explores styles that blend pop, rock, blues and jazz and has collaborated with artists ranging from DJ David Guetta to Andrea Bocelli.

Cincotti was named the first male ambassador for luxury designer TOD’S and collaborated with the brand on the music video for his single “Madeline”, which was exclusively featured in Italy’s Vanity Fair Spring issue.

In 2015, Peter appeared as himself in Season 3 of the award winning Netflix series House of Cards, singing a duet with the President himself Kevin Spacey. In April of that year, he performed in London with Sting and Annie Lennox at the Old Vic Theatre Gala.

In 2017, People Magazine and WWD featured Peter’s new single ‘Made For Me’, a track from his latest album “Long Way From Home”. Shortly after Samsung produced a 360 music video of the album’s title track. Written, arranged, and produced by Cincotti, ‘Long Way From Home’ is an upbeat blend of musical styles that brings active, rhythmic piano playing back into the landscape of modern music.

Peter’s first album reached the top of the Billboard jazz charts, making him the youngest artist ever to do so to date. His music has since been heard on prime radio and TV stations around the world with top singles that include “I Changed The Rules” 2003, “Sway” 2003, “Goodbye Philadelphia” 2007, “Angel Town” 2007, “December Boys” 2008, “Madeline” 2013, “La Felicita” 2013, “That Christmas” 2014, original songs from the Italian film “Le Leggi Del Desiderio” 2015, ‘Made For Me’ and ‘Long Way From Home’ 2018.
