Welcome to PC DancePerth College enjoys a rich and diverse Performing Arts program with the highly successful PC Dance initiative now moving into its tenth year. PC Dance offers ballet classes to students from four years of age. The program is a fun-filled way to improve co-ordination, strength, creativity and poise in a non-threatening environment and it is open to both boys and girls in the local community. The syllabus is designed to bring the best out of each young dancer and is free of the pressure of grades and exams.

Dance ClassesBallet 1 9.00 am to 9.30 am (Kindergarten and Preparatory)A simple introduction to Classical Ballet in a fun and motivated environment, aimed at dancers aged four to six. The class touches on foundation positions and locomotor skills.

Ballet 2 9.30 am to 10.00 am (six to eight years)A simple introduction to Classical Ballet in a fun and motivated environment aimed at dancers aged six to eight. The class touches on foundation positions and locomotor skills appropriate to age and experience.

Ballet 3 10.00 am to 11.00 am (eight to 10 years)Classical Ballet in a fun and motivated environment, aimed at dancers aged eight to 10. This class consolidates foundation positions and builds locomotor skills specific to the ballet style.

Ballet 4 11.00 am to 12.00 pm (11 to 15 years)Classical Ballet in a fun and motivated environment, aimed at dancers aged 11 to 15. This class builds performance confidence and strengthens technique specific to the style.

N.B. Class times are subject to change due to class numbers.

2020 Term Dates

Term One: Saturday 8 February to Saturday 4 April Mid-Term break - Saturday 29 February (no classes)

Term Two: Saturday 2 May to Saturday 27 June Mid-Term break - Saturday 30 May (no classes)

Term Three: Saturday 1 August to Saturday 19 September Mid-Term break - Saturday 22 August (no classes)

Term Four: Saturday 17 October to Saturday 28 November

Fee StructureAn average of eight classes per term, except Term Four

Ballet 1 and Ballet 2$110.00 per termBallet 3 and Ballet 4$130.00 per term

UniformThere is no set uniform but students are asked to wear a fitted leotard and ballet tights with ballet shoes. Hair needs to be tied back off face.

LocationPC Dance is located in the Dance Studio within the Judith Cottier Theatre at Perth College. Entrance to classes is via the double glass doors opening onto Lawley Crescent.
