- Systematic Aviation Services Sdn. Bhd.- Private company- 4 Branches : HQ at subang, sungai besi, Kota Kinabalu(Sabah) and Kuching(Sarawak)

1994 - 1995 (The beginning)

- Started as a flying aircraft club- Company Converted from a toilet - 5 workers

1996

- Collaboration with DCA (maintenance/calibration of Learjet)- Now : Still continues DCA contract

2003 - Received contract from PDRM (Police helicopter maintenance)

- Now : Still continues the contract

2011

- Received more contract on supplying the aircraft parts- Etc : supply tires for aircrafts (RM 10 mils)

SAS is a well known company, what did SAS achieved so far?- Certificate of appreciation (Royal Kelantan Air carnival 2005)

- Certificate of appreciation (Sarawak Air Recreation Day 2003)

How many allied partner companies that cooperated with SAS and what are they?-

What are the latest technologies used to provide operations for customers?- Still maintain the usual technologies - Using integrated network software for all the operation - Software use to detect what components available or not

How SAS overcome problems regarding the past economical issues?- Survived from economical issue by doing maintenance contract with DCA

Among services, which one provide the highest profit?- Maintenance Contract with DCA- Air spraying (frequent as once per 2/3 months)- Avionic maintenance - Assemble aircraft

CONCLUSION : STRENGHT OF THE COMPANY- Work culture: never say no to every task that had been given- Empowered engineers and technician to come out with ideas

Weakness

Skill Shortages, How SAS overcome this problem?- Staffs that Lack of experience in skills(LAE)- Staffs / technician go for another competitive company that offer more salary- Overcome by Sending Qualified staffs to skills training

How SAS manage their De-motivated staff? - Almost none of SAS staffs have problems with attitude problems- Working culture at SAS is different, SAS does not pressure staffs with overloaded work- There’s once crime incident happen before this : Theft

Is there any Complaints received? How do you solve it?- Delay of maintenance aircraft due to empty stock of components/parts- Overcome by hiring more than one component/parts suppliers

CONCLUSION : MAJOR WEAKNESS OF THE COMPANY- From our view, we think that the major weakness of the company is the delay time of the

maintenance of clients aircraft. This will cause the company to loss because they will get fined by clients.

Opportunities

SAS plan to establish international branches and training school? - Collaboration on training for AW-39

Malaysia has a lot of Aviation schools, how SAS get the opportunity to grab their manpower?- Still in progress in planning to turn their hangar into training school - Still doing their research on how would they cost if they hire instructors

Where SAS promote their branding?- Aero Carnivals Exhibition- Langkawi International Maritime & Aerospace Exhibition (LIMA)

Is the SAS Company growing along Malaysia economic?- Yes, SAS economic status Is getting well - This happen due to Malaysia economical state

CONCLUSION : the best opportunity - From our view, the best opportunity they can get is by Promoting their company to the

world through Exhibition held by government or any other organiser such as UniKL MIAT

Threat

What other companies that are the main competitive to SAS?- From SAS view, Westar is the most competitive because of their high offer of salary to catch

the employees - OEM companies that provide MRO services for themselves etc : Augusta and Aerocopter- SAS lose their contract because of the Local competitor

How did they to overcome the economical problems?- Participate in government contract(DCA) on maintenance

- Capable of doing what clients ask them to do- Try to do something out of their specialties etc. reproduce new aircraft from the old one

Did government help this company to expand their service to maintain demanding on the

Aviation industry?

- Provide contract for SAS- DCA contract is conclude as one of the main financial source of SAS

Some of the engineers are moving to middle east to get more opportunity and higher salary, are you facing this kind of problem? If yes, How you react when there is other companies that offering more salary to your workers? If no, how do you maintain your staff loyalty?
