ThinkVantage Power from One Console

Accessing TinkVantage echnologies within a single LANDesk Management Suite console lets

you manage every aspect o your systems throughout their liecycle, while also managing and

controlling the technology available to you in TinkVantage echnologies. You can: 1) support

and enable image creation and ongoing image management; 2) support system migration and

deployment, and 3) support PC users and PC disposal.

LANDesk Management Suite 9.0 ofers a number o new enhancements to support

TinkVantage echnologies, including:

Windows 7 Client Support

All product unctionality is supported and works on Windows 7 clients. Te LANDesk

inventory agent reports all Windows 7 sotware and hardware inventory data correctly. Pleasenote that in previous versions o LANDesk Management Suite or TinkVantage echnologies,

Windows 7 data appears as Windows Vista sotware.

Support for Windows 7 Versions of inkVantage Technologies

All o the updated versions o TinkVantage echnologies built or Windows 7 have been

integrated into the product and are supported.

Remote BIOS Conguration

I a BIOS setting needs to be changed on one or more clients, administrators can: 1) modiy

BIOS settings remotely rom the LANDesk Management Suite or TinkVantage echnologies

console; 2) create a BIOS change package; and 3) use sotware distribution technology to push

the new BIOS change settings out to the clients. Examples o BIOS changes requested by

customers include changing the boot order o the clients and enabling or disabling Intel vProsettings and Lenovo Hardware Password Manager settings. You save considerable time and

costs by reeing administrators rom having to visit each client to change BIOS settings.

Access Connection WAN Inventory and Reporting

Support or tracking WAN inventory and cell usage reporting inormation enables you to easily

track and manage cell cards and accounts used or WAN connectivity. Te WAN adapters

detail includes Activation State, Activation Status, MEID number, and WAN phone number

(used or billing). With this inormation, you can now recoup costs rom unused devices.
