Student Meal Accounts
Ideally, money remaining in student meal accounts should be used up by the end of the school year. If you wish to receive a refund, please request a refund form from the cafeteria manager; a check will be mailed from the food Service Office.
If a student runs out of money in their account before the end of the school year, cash may be paid at the register daily, or money can be deposited in the meal account. If the account does not have enough funds to cover the lunch, sack lunch will be given to the student at no cost.
If the student account has a negative balance, please send funds as soon as possible.
To inquire about the balance of a student account, contact the cafeteria manager ext. 146, or on the web go to https://www.myschoolbucks.com/ver2/login/getmain?requestAction=home

Attention Incoming 6th Grade Parents!
The Arizona State Department of Public Health Immunization laws directly affect any child who will be 11 years old AND who are entering the sixth grade for the 2016-‐2017 year. The immunization requirements will need to be met to allow your child to remain at school next year.
The required vaccines include:
1. Tdap Vaccine (Tetanus/Diphtheria/Pertussis) Students eleven (11) years of age AND entering sixth grade will be required to have the Tdap vaccine.
2. Meningococcal Vaccine (MCV4) Students eleven (11) years of age AND entering sixth grade are required to have one dose of the Meningococcal vaccine (MCV4). This vaccine prevents against meningitis.
Please bring proof of the immunizations to the Health Office prior to the first day of school. Please contact the school nurse for a Free Immunization Clinic list if needed. You can find further information regarding these immunization requirements at:

May 24, 2016
Dear Carol Rae Ranch Students and Families, My name is Thea Hansen and it is my sincere pleasure and honor to be joining the wonderful
community of Carol Rae Ranch as the newly appointed school principal. My background includes
graduating with my BA and MA from Arizona State University. I have been a PE specialist (6
yrs.), classroom teacher (9 yrs), district science and social studies specialist (4 yrs) and
elementary school principal (12 yrs). I have two children, three grandkids and have been married
to Pete for 35 years. Being outdoors, gardening, reading, jogging, shopping and anything that
keeps me moving are some of the things that I enjoy doing in my spare time. I recently learned
that fishing is a pretty fun activity, too!
I believe that parents, teachers, support staff, and the principal all have an important role and
responsibility in educating children and helping them to become active and successful learners.
Your involvement is very appreciated and helps to ensure that all students are reaching their
academic potential. Please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any questions, concerns, or
suggestions.
I thank Mrs. Flournoy for her vision and dedication that has made Carol Rae Ranch an excellent
school and community! Thank you for the opportunity to get to know and work with you!
Sincerely,
Mrs. Thea Hansen
