Paul Silver Prospect Moves Manager Work Summary September 2010 - Current Applications PL/SQL Developer, Microsoft Excel, Tableau, and Ellucian Advance. Prospect Portfolio Analysis I meet with fundraisers to present prospect portfolio analyses which include both my recommendations for prospect cultivation and prospect de-assignment. Prospect Management I field fundraiser questions related to the MHSF Prospect Management Policy and procedures; make prospect and proposal updates; and provide guidance to the Corporate and Foundation Relations Department for CFR proposal management. Agency Codes Agency codes are associated with MHSF gift allocations. I analyzed over 2,500 allocations and created over 40 agency codes that elevated our fundraising analytics, paving the way for fundraiser-specific reports. Subsequently, the Annual Fund and Special Gifts Department incorporated agency codes in the assessment of their appeals. The Donor Relations & Gifts Processing Department created an agency-specific, special thank you program. Our MHSF Non-Alumni Solicitation Policy is now upheld through agency codes. MHSF High Priority Prospect (HPP) Moves Management I proposed this initiative to help fundraisers stay on target to complete qualification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewarding moves with their High Priority Prospects— individuals that are slated for solicitation and were discussed in Goals Setting meetings. For this effort, Tasks, an Advance tool that distributes reminder emails, was used to prompt fundraisers to enter contact reports to get credit for stage changes for their High Priority Prospects. I created a High Priority code, an assignment priority type that was appended to donor records. The Goal-Setting prospect proposals documented in this initiative feed into the Dashboard and Radar Reports. The PMHSF Radar Report This fundraiser-specific report, which I created, is delivered on a monthly basis. I introduced the report in 1:1 meetings with every fundraiser to discuss how they can use this personalized analytical tool that highlights their outstanding proposals, top prospects, and top unassigned donors who give to their areas. This monthly report serves as a prompt for fundraisers to make proposal updates and prospect assignment requests. Alumni Engagement The Director, Alumni Relations Health Sciences, requested a report to track alumni engagement. To do this, I helped create the pmhsf_affinities table, which contains all of our specific activities, affiliations, committees, and mailing lists. Subsequently, I created a report that leverages this new table and captured alumni degree details, gift counts , GG+A ratings, job titles and company names, active proposal details, and alumni participation for their last three associated events. I believe this is the first MHSF report that reflects all these engagement metrics for the 44K+ existing alumni of the University Pittsburgh schools of the health sciences.

Paul Silver Work Summary (continued)

MHSF Dashboard Report Analyzed and helped retool the MHSF Dashboard Report: Performed a comparative analysis of currently reported gift projections vs. actual proposal documentation in Advance. I helped discern how MHSF should track and report gift projections directly from Advance. Prospect Manager Goals Report I co-produced this one page, fundraiser-specific report of gift proposals, donor visits, and prospect moves management metrics. Leads Reports This fundraiser-specific report lists promising individuals who both need to be evaluated and have been evaluated by fundraisers for prospect assignment. Both cohorts are comprised of individuals who have come to light as a result of the 2013 GG+A screening, MHSF fundraising analytics, and MHSF Prospect Ratings analyses. Household_total_mhsf I established this data point that reflects combined lifetime donor and spouse gifts to Pitt's schools of the health sciences and UPMC. This soft credit, cash-in total is comprised of joint gifts and non-joint gifts. This data strengthens MHSF's ability to analyze, segment and prioritize donors. Benchmarking Report I created a 26-page Prospect Moves Management Benchmarking Report to understand the facets of my new role, compiling best and current practices in moves management, prospect/pipeline management, performance management, and fundraising analytics. My sources included: AFP; APRA; Blackbaud; CASE; and The Advisory Board Company, Philanthropy Leadership Council.

MHSF Manager Goals Report

Visits Totals for Qualifying Visits and Visits are determined by contact reports authored by the Prospect Manager with contact report types "visit" and "qualifying visit." The prospect manager doesn't have to be assigned to the prospect or donor at the time the contact report is entered. Active Management This metric reflects the number of prospects that move from the assigned stage to the qualified, cultivation, solicitation, or agreement stage in the current fiscal year. For an individual prospect, only one of these moves is counted regardless of the number of prospect stage changes made. This distinction ensures the ability to ascertain how many prospects a prospect manager has qualified (moved into active management) within the year. Proposals Reflects MHSF Proposal Manager or Staff 2 Assignments associated with active and inactive proposals in 2 ask amount categories: • $50,000+ • $50,000 or less

Not Included • Goal Setting Prospect Proposals Submitted • Active Proposals with a submitted status and proposal start date in current FY. Accepted • Inactive Proposals with an accepted status and proposal stop date in current FY. Declined • Inactive Proposals with a declined status and proposal stop date in current FY. Outstanding • Active Proposals with a submitted status and proposal start date PRIOR to current FY. Prospects • Only primary prospects are pulled. • Reflects current prospect stage. • Rated ≥$100K & Rated <$100K are Prospect rating categories (not GG+A ratings).
