THET is a specialist global health organization that educates, trains and supports health workers through global health partnerships, strengthening health systems and enabling people in low and middle income countries to access essential healthcare. With support from DFID, UN and private donors, THET works in partnership with institutions in Somalia and the UK to draw from the invaluable experience of partners working within both health care systems.Major Accomplishments:Project Planning and Design.As an innovative and visionary leader, I lead the development and review of annual work plans and budgets for twelve implementing partners. The plans are aligned to government sectoral priorities and the international development agenda. The plans were supported with corresponding control tools to ensure efficient and effective delivery of the targets.New program development and expansion.I worked with the Country Representative and UK team, to conduct scoping studies for new programmes and expansion of existing projects like the Nutrition scoping assessment for Somalia in partnership with UNICEF. I supported the development of concept notes and proposals for funding that were submitted to various donors with the one to WHO attracting funding for the training of community health workers and intern doctors.Team Management.Directly supervising 5 Programme Officers and 1 Technical Advisor, I supported their capacity development needs in line with the available resources and programme strategy for Somalia.Stakeholder management.Managed the implementation of creative partnerships and capacity development interventions for program partners based both in Somalia and UK, including the line government departments Security and AccessEnsured program risk in a volatile context is minimized. Security policy was updated and ensured compliance. Program results, assets and staff were secure all through the program cycle.

Organization Context.With UNDP as the technical and programmatic lead partner, the Government of Uganda launched a Peace Recovery and Development Plan (PRDP) in July 2009 aimed at completing the post-conflict recovery process and strengthen the foundation for development in Northern Uganda. UNDP supported the implementation of PRDP2 within the framework of the Local Development and Social Cohesion in Northern Uganda Project aimed at social and economic stabilization.Major Accomplishments:Program Development , Planning, Strategy and VisionContributed to implementation of the United Nations Development Assistance Framework

Led the regional program in strategic program development, by undertaking regular multi-sector assessments, and designing innovative approaches to respond to peace and reconstruction needs of the region such as the economic resilience initiative and transitional justice model.Lead the development of high-quality, needs-based project proposals in line with the UNDAF that were submitted to JICA and funded. Organizational Context:World Vision Uganda seeks to address causes and effects of poverty through development, relief and advocacy. Since 1986, World Vision Uganda has been providing educational support, constructing and equipping schools and health centers, training health workers and farmers, participating in advocacy campaigns, distributing improved crop varieties and animal breeds, and providing clean and safe water.Projects based on grants also cover more sectors including water and sanitation, HIV and AIDS, food security, feeder roads, psychosocial support and peace building.Major Accomplishments:1. Led Implementation of USAID – SPEAR (Supporting Public Sector Expansion and Response to HIV/AIDS) project in Rakai region.2. Over saw the public relations function of World Vision by hosting politicians, local leaders, donors and project visitors as well as preparing project briefs for them in a manner that projects a positive image of the organisation.3. Ensured World Vision gets into beneficial partnerships with stake holders such as local government, private sector and other Organisations in the area of operation. This was done through organizational assessments, preparation of memorandum of understanding, participating in meetings and forums as well as nurturing these partnerships to maturity.

4. Ensured that the five strategic five‐year programme development designs conform to

global office standards by ensuring that staff learn to use the design template.5. Guaranteed that 12 annual project plans adhere to the annual project guidelines from the Africa management office and are a partial fulfillment of the five programme strategic plans.6.
