AsturIAs a tribute to

Isaac Albénizon the centenary of his death1909-2009

STEFANO GRONDONA offers his tribute to Isaac Albéniz (1860-1909), on the occasion of the first centenary of the Catalan composer’s death. The twelve works on this CD are historical arrangements of Albéniz`s music for guitar made by Francisco Tárrega, Miguel Llobet and Andrés Segovia, the three guitarrists who, between the last decades of the nineteenth century and the first half of twentieth century, determined the evolution of the modern guitar. It would be the guitar, by virtue of these transcriptions, and not the piano for which these works were written, which would make the major contribution to Albéniz’s fame worldwide. The last four titles are arrangements for guitar duo and here Grondona is joined by Laura Mondiello. The CD is entirely recorded on instruments built by the celebrated guitar maker Antonio de Torres (Torres 1864: ex-Tárrega, Torres 1859: ex-Llobet, Torres 1887 SE110, Torres 1887 SE111, Torres 1890 SE 142).

The strings used in all tracks were produced by Aquila Corde Armoniche S.a.s.www.aquilacorde.com

I Quaderni dell’Arte Alchemica, pubblicati

dalla rivista MuseoHermetico, rappresentano

una originale sintesi delle conoscenze

elaborate dagli artisti del Rinascimento

durante le diverse fasi del lavoro creativo.

Raccolti per temi di facile comprensione,

gli argomenti osservano il fenomeno del

Rinascimento della coscienza da più punti

di vista, fornendo al lettore curioso e

all’appassionato dell’arte un interessante

bagaglio di riferimenti culturali incrociati.

Filosofia e neuroscienza, psicologia della

percezione e religione, mitologia

e cinema si intrecciano continuamente

per fornire gli elementi necessari

a decodificare le allegorie, le metafore,

i simboli e le trame della conoscenza

dell’identità umana attraverso i parametri

“immortali” della coscienza.

Da molti secoli lo sguardo della coscienza

alchemica è rimasto immutato.

Dal tempo della mitologia greca ad oggi sono

cambiati i modelli, le storie e le immagini

con cui raccontare il progressivo

dispiegamento del “filo di Arianna”, ma non i

contenuti. Seguendo il filo del discorso degli

autori è possibile risalire alla conoscenza

simbolica, e quindi “morte e trasformazione”,

del mostruoso Minotauro, metafora degli

istinti, delle pulsioni e della libido occultati

nel labirinto psichico di ogni individuo.

E’ questa la “prima materia” che

gli alchimisti del rinascimento studiavano

per sperimentare l’arte di trasformare

la pulsione sessuale in amore, affetto,

conoscenza e coscienza di sé e diventare

uomini di lettere, scienziati, esploratori,

o semplicemente persone colte e raffinate,

capaci di godere della perfezione del creato.
