Guy Recotta FLY BY KNIGHT Flight School 5k & 1 Mile Walk/Run (Walkers & Runners) Saturday, October 29, 2016 Holy Ghost Catholic School PREREGISTRATION BY: OCTOBER 15 TH LOCATION: Start and finish at Holy Ghost Catholic School, 507 North Oak St., Hammond, LA 70401 TIME: 8:00 am – 1 Mile Youth Walk/Run 8:30 am – 5K Walk/Run COURSE: Start and finish on campus of Holy Ghost School, 5K course runs on campus of SLU (fast & flat course). RED, WHITE & BLUE RUN T-SHIRTS: Beautifully designed t-shirts are guaranteed to pre registered runners registered by October 15. Late and race day entrants will receive t-shirts as available after the race. Sizes not guaranteed to late entrants. RACE DAY REGISTRATION: 7:00 am – 7:45 am (Registration will end promptly at 7:45). Holy Ghost students will be given their (and family members) race packets a day or two before the race. Race day pickup also available. AWARDS: 1 MILE FUN RUN: All other participants, ages Pre-K to age 19 will be given participation medals. There will be no other scoring for the 1-mile race. This is a FUN RUN only. 5K RACE: Valuable gift cards to local restaurants and businesses will be given as awards to the top 6 male and top 6 female finishers. OUTRUN ABE: Special prizes for all fun run participants who beat our very own Abe Lincoln! GET PATRIOTIC! Participants are encouraged to dress the part for our Presidential-themed run. Dress as your favorite President, First Lady or in your best red, white and blue! AID STATIONS: Water, Gatorade, bananas at start/finish. Water station at 2 mile marker at the Larry Granier Memorial Water Station. MUSIC, FOOD & REFRESHMENTS: Delicious cajun Jambalaya, cold beer and soft drinks for participants.
