one for the King's Printer, one for the Minister, etc.. These bindings had a somewhat
consistent style. While the practice continued in some departments, the binding in

(some in colour), 2 rear folding maps, bibliography, index, dark blue/gree fine grain cloth,
gilt spine titles, clean (no marks or signatures), fine (as new) condition 200.00
Topics: Huronia, Jesuits, Huron Indians. "This monograph is presented to the public
as a mere book of references. It has no pretension to do duty as a history either of the
Huron Nations or of the men who devoted their lives to their evangelization; but it may
prove helpful to those who purpose treating in full the many thrilling incidents which
preced-ed the downfall and dispersion of a once powerful and prosperous race. At all
events, it will serve to render more intelligible, and as a consequences more interesting,
the annual Relations and other old records, be disentangling many a snarl of dates, and
by fixing scene where events, be they critical or commonplace, were enacted. ... Preface.
