A once great actor, Serge Tanneur (Fabrice Luchini), has retired from the limelight. Too much pressure meant that one day, he simply decided he would act no more. For the past three years, he has lived in solitude on the Île de Ré, spending his time cycling through the windswept landscape.
Fellow actor Gauthier Valence (Lambert Wilson), whose career is flying high, is planning a production of Molière’s play The Misanthrope and wants to offer Serge the title role.
Gauthier is convinced he will accept, since Serge himself has become a misanthrope, withdrawn from society and raging against the world. It would be wonderful to see him return in that part.
But Serge plays hard to get. Instead of committing, he suggests they rehearse together for the week. Things look to be going well, especially when a mysterious Italian divorcee (Maya Sansa) brings a romantic spark into his life.
With the play’s producer, Gauthier’s agent and his lover all arriving on the island at the weekend, the pressure is on Serge to make up his mind. Is he merely toying with Gauthier, or does he really intend to take to the stage once more?

Bad timing! The funeral of Zef’s wife right when Roni’s daughter is getting married!
That unexpected event only makes the existing conflicts between the two brothers worse. Their professions, their life choices and even their wives couldn’t be more different. Religious austerity on one side, intense enjoyment of life’s pleasures on the other. They have nothing in common but their aging father who’s losing his grip and their respective daughters who adore one another.
From London to Paris, New York to Saint Tropez, showdowns, misunderstandings and betrayals all serve to blow up the family landscape. But out of the rubble of those arguments and haphazard reconciliations will blossom a beautiful love story - or two!

They are all regulars in Parisian gambling bar, Le Balto. They are sick of losing their hard-earned pay and would like to stop playing the gee-gees... But as all die-hard gamblers say, you win some you lose some. They cling to every loser’s belief that the big win is always just around the corner. Then one day, their break finally comes, in the shape of the sharp-suited legendary gamer known on all the race tracks and by all the bookies as “the white wolf” – and known to the gaming police as Monsieur Paul. This gentleman gambler offers them a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to buy a champion racehorse, Torpille. Despite the thoroughbred turning out to be an old nag, our four hopefuls are undeterred and agree to buy one leg each. The Balto gang join the ranks of the moneyed owners, sharing the insider tips of the billionaires from Auteuil and Monte Carlo.

It is 1982, Beirut, Lebanon. Twelve-year-old FAHED lives in poverty with his father and grandfather in the Shatila Palestinian refugee camp. His father obsessively tends his prized but sickly olive tree, a remnant of the home they fled in 1948. He refuses to plant it until they return to their ancestral land. Bright, smart and knowing how to work the streets, FAHED and his group of friends are playing one day when they see something come off an Israeli jet. Not knowing what they will discover the group heads off to recover the item. What they are not expecting to find is YONI a proud, second generation fighter pilot in the Israeli Air Force. Having to eject on his latest sortie he is captured, and imprisoned in the very camp where Fahed lives.
Face-to-face with the enemy Israeli, Fahed predictably takes his anger out on the pilot, and receives the same in return. It’s not until Fahed realises that the olive tree is dying, that he hatches a plan to free the prisoner, using Yoni to get him past the border and into “Palestine” to plant his father’s olive tree. It is here their journey begins. Fahed and Yoni must overcome the fierce hatred, raw emotion and intolerance built up over generations in order to survive the dangerous journey as Palestinian, Syrian and Lebanese militia chase them across war-torn Lebanon. A tenuous friendship takes root and strengthens with every hurdle they overcome, to reach the land they both consider home.
Zaytoun is a story of survival, reconciliation and friendship. The pilot and boy gain one another’s respect and trust, and a charming and inspirational friendship is allowed to blossom.

‘TOUCHING THE VOID’, based on the international best seller by renowned climber Joe Simpson, describes one of the most extraordinary true stories of adventure and survival of our time. The book recounts a climb Simpson and climbing partner, Simon Yates, undertook in the Peruvian Andes in 1985. The two young and ambitious mountaineers set off to scale the unclimbed west face of Siula Grande, a remote and treacherous 21,000 ft peak. However, as they began their descent through a blizzard, Simpson fell, shattering his leg, and an hectic battle for survival unfolded in which both men make life or death decisions.

‘DEEP WATER’ is the stunning true story of the first solo, non-stop, round-the-world boat race, and the psychological toll it took on its competitors. Sponsored by the Sunday Times of London, the much-ballyhooed event attracted a field of nine, including amateur sailor Donald Crowhurst, who set out to circumnavigate the globe in late 1968. Battling treacherous seas and his own demons, Crowhurst almost immediately comes apart as he faces the isolation of nine months on the high seas. The story of migrating birds is founded on a pledge: the pledge that they will return. They undertake these journeys thousands of miles long, crossing the highest mountains, the broadest oceans, the hottest deserts, facing the fiercest storms only out of one necessity: survival. Man has always dreamt of flying with birds. Could we be the first to turn this universal dream into reality? That’s the adventure that LE PEUPLE MIGRATEUR embarked on.

The flight of sixty species of migrating birds (Red crowned cranes, whooper swans, white pelicans, wild geese) was filmed over three years under the skies of the world on an ultralight plane, a helicopter and a boat. “Les ailes de la nature” is an adaptation in a documentary series of “WINGED MIGRATION”, which was released in the theatres in 2002. In addition to the magnificent and unedited new footage, the film includes a passionate commentary by Jacques Perrin himself.
