1 Corinthians 12 v 1-28

12 For just as the body is a unity and yet has many parts, and all the parts, though many, form [only] one body, so it is with Christ (the Messiah, the Anointed One).

13 For by [[d]means of the personal agency of] one [Holy] Spirit we were all, whether Jews or Greeks, slaves or free, baptized [and [e]by baptism united together] into one body, and all made to drink of one [Holy] Spirit.

14 For the body does not consist of one limb or organ but of many.

15 If the foot should say, Because I am not the hand, I do not belong to the body, would it be therefore not [a part] of the body?

16 If the ear should say, Because I am not the eye, I do not belong to the body, would it be therefore not [a part] of the body?

1 Corinthians 12 v 1-2817 If the whole body were an eye, where [would be

the sense of] hearing? If the whole body were an ear, where [would be the sense of] smell?

18 But as it is, God has placed and arranged the limbs and organs in the body, each [particular one] of them, just as He wished and saw fit and with the best adaptation.

19 But if [the whole] were all a single organ, where would the body be?

20 And now there are [certainly] many limbs and organs, but a single body.

21 And the eye is not able to say to the hand, I have no need of you, nor again the head to the feet, I have no need of you.

22 But instead, there is [absolute] necessity for the parts of the body that are considered the more weak.

23 And those [parts] of the body which we consider rather ignoble are [the very parts] which we invest with additional honor, and our unseemly parts and those unsuitable for exposure are treated with seemliness (modesty and decorum),

24 Which our more presentable parts do not require. But God has so adjusted (mingled, harmonized, and subtly proportioned the parts of) the whole body, giving the greater honor and richer endowment to the inferior parts which lack [apparent importance],

25 So that there should be no division or discord or lack of adaptation [of the parts of the body to each other], but the members all alike should have a mutual interest in and care for one another

26 And if one member suffers, all the parts [share] the suffering; if one member is honoured, all the members [share in] the enjoyment of it.

27 Now you [collectively] are Christ’s body and [individually] you are members of it, each part severally and distinct [each with his own place and function].

28 So God has appointed some in the church [[f]for His own use]: first apostles (special messengers); second prophets (inspired preachers and expounders); third teachers; then wonder-workers; then those with ability to heal the sick; helpers; administrators; [speakers in] different (unknown) tongues

7 KEYS TO HELP FIND YOUR FIT IN THE BODY OF CHRIST

GOD HAS A UNIQUE PLAN FOR YOUR LIFE.

The Bible makes it clear that all people have a hope and a future (Jeremiah 29:11) and that God is able to restore even the most broken of lives. (Psalm 103:2-5) Jesus made it clear that there were two different paths that we can take in life, the narrow path, which leads to eternal life, or the broad path, which leads to destruction. Jesus said,

“Enter by the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who go in by it. Because narrow is the gate and difficult is the way that leads to life, and there are few who find it.” (Matthew 7:13-14)

Jesus also said, “The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.” (John 10:10)

ENTRY INTO GOD’S KINGDOM AND BECOMING A PART OF THE FAMILY OF GOD (ENTERING IN BY THE NARROW GATE) COMES WHEN A PERSON MAKES A CHOICE TO TURN FROM THEIR SINS (REPENT) AND TO RECEIVE JESUS CHRIST AS THEIR PERSONAL LORD AND SAVIOUR. ONCE BECOMING A BELIEVER THEY MUST THEN APPROPRIATE THEIR GOD GIVEN DESTINY

As believers we all have a particular destiny and purpose in life as we follow God’s plan for our life. (Ephesians 2:10) 10 For we are God’s [own] handiwork (His workmanship), created in Christ Jesus, [born anew] that we may do those good works which God predestined (planned beforehand) for us [taking paths which He prepared ahead of time], that we should walk in them [living the good life which He prearranged and made ready for us to live].

“You did not choose Me, but I chose you and appointed you that you should go and bear fruit, and that your fruit should remain, that whatever you ask the Father in My name He will give you.” (John 15:16)

“But now God has set the members, each one of them, in the body just as He pleased.” (1 Corinthians 12:18) “And if one member suffers, all the members suffer with it; or if one member is honoured, all the members rejoice with it.”

THE NATURAL HUMAN CELL

Inside a Cell Although there are different types of cells, most cells have the

same components. A cell consists of a nucleus and cytoplasm and is contained within the cell membrane, which regulates what passes in and out. The nucleus contains chromosomes, which are the cell's genetic material, and a nucleolus, which produces ribosomes.

Ribosomes produce proteins, which are packaged by the Golgi apparatus so that they can leave the cell. The cytoplasm consists of a fluid material and organelles, which could be considered the cell's organs.

The endoplasmic reticulum transports materials within the cell. Mitochondria generate energy for the cell's activities. Lysosomes contain enzymes that can break down particles entering the cell. Centrioles participate in cell division.

Human cells have a membrane that holds the contents together. However, this membrane is not just a sac. It has receptors that identify the cell to other cells. The receptors also react to substances produced in the body and to drugs taken into the body, selectively allowing these substances or drugs to enter and leave the cell. Reactions that take place at the receptors often alter or control a cell's functions

. An example of this is when Insulin binds to receptors on the cell membrane to maintain appropriate blood sugar levels and to allow glucose to enter cells.

Within the cell membrane are two major compartments, the cytoplasm and the nucleus. The cytoplasm contains structures that consume and transform energy and perform the cell's functions. The nucleus contains the cell's genetic material and the structures that control cell division and reproduction. Inside every cell are mitochondria. Mitochondria are tiny structures that provide the cell with energy

WE ALL NEED EACH OTHER IN THE BODY OF CHRIST

How then can we find and follow God’s plan for our life? How can we know that we are in the centre of God’s will for our life? How can we make our lives count, so that we will bear fruit that will remain?

Ephesians 4 v 16 For because of Him the whole body (the church, in all its various parts), closely joined and firmly knit together by the joints and ligaments with which it is supplied, when each part [with power adapted to its need] is working properly [in all its functions], grows to full maturity, building itself up in love.
