Today’s Readings stress on the importance of the Kingdom of God and demand a personal response on the part of every Christian to God and to His Kingdom. In normal language, the Kingdom of God is understood as God’s rule in the heart of every individual. In the New Testament, there are almost one hundred and fifty references to the Kingdom and the more Jesus speaks about it, the more he reveals its mystery. The Kingdom constantly invites people to the high ideals and great generosity. It also calls for a great measure of tolerance, patience, and understanding in seeing the Kingdom become a reality. The Kingdom is primarily an environment, it is a set of relationships, and it is a situation where God's values prevail. The divine values in practice are nothing but the deepest human values and aspirations as mirrored in the life of Jesus, who is himself the revelation of God to us inaccessible human form.

Las lecturas de hoy subrayan la importancia del Reino de Dios y exigen una respuesta personal por parte de todo Cristiano a Dios y a Su Reino. En lenguaje normal, el Reino de Dios se entiende como la regla de Dios en el corazón de cada individuo. En el Nuevo Testamento, hay casi ciento cincuenta referencias al Reino y cuanto más habla Jesús al respecto, más revela su misterio. El Reino invita constantemente a la gente a los altos ideales y a la gran generosidad. También exige una gran cantidad de tolerancia, paciencia y comprensión para ver cómo el Reino se hace realidad. El Reino es principalmente un entorno, es un conjunto de relaciones, y es una situación donde prevalecen los valores de Dios. Los valores divinos en la práctica no son más que los valores y aspiraciones humanas más profundos, tal como se reflejan en la vida de Jesús, que es él mismo la revelación de Dios para nosotros forma humana inaccesible.

Parish Information

MASS & EUCHARIST UPDATE – FIRST PHASE OF OPENING . 1.Masses are now resuming at regular times with social distancing being used along with wearing a mask as well. This is a must. There will be limit of filling up the church since social distancing is being used. 2. Confession is still the same times; after or before Mass, Wednesday or by appointment. 3. The current state of the pandemic is such that the faithful are still dispensed from the obligation to attend and to participate in Sunday Mass. Please watch on Facebook or at our Website for the Sunday Mass in Henrietta (live at 8:00 am or saved for later) or on EWTN (7:00 am). 4. Eucharist will be given in the hands a long with the line using 6 ft. of social distancing. Also, you may stay in your car with communion being brought out after Mass to you at your car. This will be at every church. Please watch the Mass on Facebook or website in your car. If you do not receive communion please say the Prayer for Spiritual Communion as in the bulletin. 5. Collections will not be passed or handled among the people. There will be a locked safety box at the back of the church to put your collection in.

Right Way Imaging – Will be at St. Mary’s Henrietta on Saturday August 8th starting at 8:00 am in the parish hall. This is for imaging of your vital organs. They have come in the past and we have been booked up for this so, please note they will be out on the weekend of August 1st & 2nd to sign you up. 2nd Collection – Priest’s Care Fund – Weekend of August 1st & 2nd.
