growing every year!
Last Year’s
Beefeater Master Distiller
Desmond Payne
People frequently ask what my favorite
gin cocktail is, and my answer has been
the same for years: a proper Beefeater
Negroni. My first experience with a
Negroni was at the Duke’s Hotel in
London many moons ago, and I’ve been
drinking this classic cocktail ever since.
I have a great affinity for cocktails that
allow gin to complement the other
ingredients of a drink, and with a
Negroni, the gin, Campari and sweet
vermouth form a perfect marriage. I’m
so pleased that Imbibe and Campari are
joining forces once again to present
Negroni Week, and I'm thrilled for
Beefeater to support these efforts. I
love that during Negroni Week,
bartenders get the opportunity to put
their own spins on the Negroni,
allowing the cocktail community
around the world to enjoy everything
this cocktail has to offer. Even better is
that you can celebrate this iconic
cocktail while supporting charities
around the world. I strongly encourage
you to get involved in Negroni Week so
you can understand what a truly
delicious gin cocktail tastes like—all
while supporting a great cause!
