Vehicle Maintenance & RepairsAs a recognised and inspected service repair centre we carry out all work to manufacturers standards and specifications, using their original components and lubricants to ensure no vehicle warranties are affected. Being an approved supplier to the 1Link system, enables many fleet vehicles to be maintained and processed by us with the minimum disruption to the leasing company and vehicle driver.

Operating to the industry standard, ICME and Autodata repair times, also ensures that you are offered set repair times from which estimates are provided and a fixed price is given wherever possible. Combined with competitive labour rates, we also guarantee a timely response, to minimise your fleet downtime. Services are also available on a ‘while you wait’ basis, whilst free collection and delivery is also available within a certain mileage/area.*

Approved by the Retail Motor Industry Federation and inspected by the RAC, together with the Motor Industry Codes of Practice we operate for some of the leading lease/finance companies in the country.

Alternative & Specialist Repair SolutionsMany service repair centres tend not to repair, but simply replace new parts on a trial and error basis until the problem goes away. At Birway, we have a different philosophy. Weprovide our clients with a cost effective solution from the start. This is done systematically, assessing situations and providing alternative remedies where possible. This can be done by utilising quality used parts, repairing the original or when a new component is needed, replacing this with a suitablenon-manufacturer’s item. We also undertake more specialist work including vehicles with specialist equipment on board, LPG converted vehicles, hydraulic system repairs, electrical repairs and general mechanics.

Garage ServicesLoan VehiclesWe have a large fleet of loan vehicles including cars and vans to support our customers when required. This minimises any disruption or downtime for companies and employees who rely on their vehicles.

Fast Response Fleet Support VansOur fast response vans are on standby for call outs and carry an impressive stock of replacement consumables including: batteries, key fob batteries, wiper blades, bulbs, fluids, fuses, mirror glasses, mirror units, hose clips, fuel, jump leads, battery packs, ancillary items etc.

MOTsOur VOSA approved MOT testing station has the capacity to test Class IV (Cars), Class VII (Light Commercials up to 3.5 tonne) and Light Weight Class V (Minibuses Up to 16 Seats) and Class I & II (Motorcycles). All MOTs are available on a while you wait basis.

Tyres & Wheel AlignmentWe carry in stock a comprehensive range of branded tyres at competitive prices which, supported by four deliveries per day, enables us to provide tyres quickly and efficiently. We also have the capacity to deal with tyres and wheels up to 28” diameter. Using laser wheel alignment technology and up to date information from our online technical database, we can carry out steering geometry adjustments to all vehicle types including 4x4’s.

Air ConditioningWith the build up of fungi and bacteria in vehicle air conditioning systems, it is recommended to have an annual ultrasonic vaporisation Aircon Clean treatment. This ensures your system is disinfected, neutralising microbes,fungi and bacteria. This ultimately reduces the flu like symptoms and car sick syndrome that can be caused by bacteria and often recognisable by bad odours.

With our advanced automated air conditioning maintenance station we operate within the current requirements demanded by European Air Conditioning Specialists. In conjunction with this, our diagnosticequipment operates on a thermodynamic level based on the measurement of temperature and pressures. This means we can deal with all of your vehicle air conditioning requirements effectively.

Garage ServicesVehicle SecurityWe are approved installers and suppliers of TomTom and TRACKER Stolen Vehicle Tracking and Fleet Monitoring systems. These can be fitted to a wide variety of vehicle types and we can cater for anything from the single vehicle user to the large fleet operator.

ValetingWe provide a full range of valeting services from a service wash through to a full professional retail valet. We pride ourselves on our eco friendly approach, using minimal amounts of water and chemicals, thereby lessening the harmful effects to our environment. Autoglym™ products, which are respected around the world by motor manufacturers, are used to provide a superior valeting finish.

LPG Conversions & Re-Fuelling StationAs a UKLPG accredited garage we can carry out full LPG conversions, servicing and repairs to all suitable vehicles. Our professional technicians are trained to a high standard and have to pass an external examination to convert any vehicle to LPG.We also have an LPG re-fuelling station on site.

Diagnostic EquipmentThe role of engine diagnostics has evolved over the years, from it’s origins in tuning, through to today’s fault finding, diagnostics and emissions control. Vehicle Transport LogisticsBirway operates a nationwide fleet of corporate branded transporters, which combined with our uniformed personnel guarantees the highest level of standards when representing our clients such as the transportation of Finished Vehicle Distribution/Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM) stock. We employ the services of an external company to train and validate our drivers for vehicle movement including risk assessments, loading, tie down procedures etc.

Offering flexibility, we can accommodate transportation of all types of vehicles and as part of the Hammonds Group, we have contracts with major finance companies and banks for the collection and delivery of vehicles throughout the UK.

Vehicle Transport LogisticsSpecialist CollectionsWe operate specialist transporters capable of moving low sports and performance cars such as Ferraris and Bugattis. Our drivers are fully trained to load and unload prestige vehicles safely and efficiently. We provide full Goods in Transit and Public Liability Insurance and our vehicles are satellite tracked at all times.

No Keys and Non Running VehiclesDamage Free Collections are crucial, particularly when dealing with vehicles that are non-running or without keys.

We are often deployed by leasing and finance companies to collect vehicles, including cars and vans, only to find upon arrival they are in a bad state of repair and cannot be started or are missing keys. It is therefore very important that great care is taken in their removal.

Our transporters operate with specialist equipment and if required, a four wheel lift can be deployed. All of our drivers are experienced and trained to move vehicles safely to ensure a smooth and professional collection.

We can deliver vehicles straight to auction or if clients require, transport them to our workshop to inspect and prepare a quotation to get them up and running, which increases their re-sale value.

End of Contract & No MOT CollectionsUnderstanding the importance of the relationship between you and your client is paramount tous when arranging the collection of end of contract vehicles and those without MOTs. Our fully trained staff are courteous when arranging a time for our transporters to attend.

On collection, all vehicles are inspected to assess and assist with damage re-charge. We ensure that all personal belongings are removed and all available relevantdocumentation and equipment is returned with the vehicle to assist in the sale and residual value. This will include: V5 registration, service history, spare keys, satellite navigation and disks etc.

Secure StorageWe offer secure storage facilities at two sites, which have robust perimeter security fencing, are ADT alarmed and monitored via CCTV 24 hours a day. In the event of any intrusion to the compound, ADT can communicate with the trespasser remotely via a speaker whilst registered key holders, Securitas and the police are contacted.

All vehicle locations are logged and we carry out regular stock checks and reconciliations to provide traceability and onsite verification. We also provide you with comprehensive stock reports of all of your vehicles held in storage, with onlineaccess so you can monitor them at any time.

Employee Fleet AllocationOrganisations operating employee fleets, demand all vehicles are maintained to a high level to ensure their safety, condition and continued roadworthiness. We also ensure that each vehicle goes through a thorough 136 point predetermined PDI (Pre Delivery Inspection). This enables us to provide clients with a comprehensive report outlining any other mechanical or bodywork issues requiring attention along with their subsequent rectification.

Employee Fleet SolutionsPreventative Maintenance ChecksTo meet client’s requirements, we can carry out preventative maintenance checks on fleets of vehicles. Many fleet operators see this as an important part in maintaining operational efficiency. These checks can be carried out periodically and include: mobile on site visits - where our technicians check the vehicles fluid levels, condition and general visible items such as lights, tyres, glass etc. and carry out any minor repairs.

These checks are of valuable on a number of levels. To the driver who must ensure that the vehicle is in a road-worthy condition and the operating company who must ensure that warranties are not void. On completion of any inspections, we can provide a full report, thus enabling you to monitor your fleet condition and ultimately enhance your cost management process with ‘in life’ and ‘end of contract’ charges.

VOSA For vehicles that are governed by VOSA Operator Licensing requirements which stipulate periodic checks for safety - e.g. 6 Weekly check for vehicles over 7.5 tonne and Minibuses used for hire and reward - we can carry out these inspections to ensure your peace of mind and continued legal compliance.

We can provide you will a full service including: tacho checks/inspections,steam cleaning of your vehicle, full service as well as the arranging of goods vehicle testing at the local VOSA station. We can also provide courtesy cars, vans and trucks up to 7.5 tonne.

Used Vehicle PreparationWe understand the importance of a streamlined used vehicle preparation process, which results in minimum refurbishment time and provides optimum value. Following numerous refurbishment programs, it is imperative that strict adherence to SLAs (Service Level Agreements), anda working partnership approach is followed to ensure that an ever-evolving process is provided, ultimately resulting in improved residual values for re-marketing.

Vehicle Handover The vehicle handover is very important as it contributes to the customer’s brand experience and is a vital part of the sales process. All of our staff are extensively trained to ensure that every handover follows a carefully scripted process to ensure all the vehicle features are communicated to the customer.
